ONA are lucky they're so obscure and Fatrick is such an incompetent laut, what they do is really ridiculously close to illegal. Either the calls aren't actually happening, or they are but they're legitimate (i.e. not "pranks"). I'm a VOIP guy and I can tell you modern online phone services could easily block this thing. Phone numbers, ID's, telephony service provides, and associated ELIN addresses can all be easily spoofed, which leaves you with nothing more than the IP. For the IP you usually need a court order to get the receiving carrier and then the originating ISP to provide info on that and IP's can also be easily spoofed and masked. This could also be a person in another country calling with a local-appearing caller ID which would effectively put them outside of the reach of local law enforcement. Great world we've created here lol.

If it is someone from the boards, my guess would be OnA over KF. Pat is just another lolcow here, but for the brothermen he's public enemy number 1 after he took out their subreddit. For a lot of those guys it's personal. They're the ones who have gone to Milwaukee more than once to interact with him in person, nobody here cares enough about him to do that, plus it's against the site ethos.

That's just my opinion though, and I don't know for certain. It could well be more than one person from more than one source. Pat is skilled enough at making enemies that it can't be ruled out.

I can't remember if it was this thread or elsewhere, but someone did describe how to Swat someone untraceably (there was some kid in Israel who did it dozens of times before forgetting to turn his vpn on and getting caught). It was a convoluted process involving burner phones, Google Voice accounts and several layers of spoofing. Pat can't even use a hammer right. If he was doing it to himself, I suspect he'd have got found out by now.
