I do think He has intrusive thoughts that he either doesn't understand or uses it as a ward for when he feels like a thought is coming on.

I don't think he's a nonce, even in the passive sense of perving at obviously under age kids but I think he can't deal with intrusive thoughts and with his brain loops he can't differentiate between thoughts and action so if he's cooking a egg for example and he thinks of boobs he thinks of boobs not in an abstract but the first time he got to interact with boobs or the most memorable time he did and given his perpetually 13 year old brain it was from around then so to ward off being a Sicko he says that.

I also think that because he is essentially a Edgy teenager he kinda resents that the people he used to lust after have aged, and anybody of that age group is kinda repulsive to him to some extent but that's the kind of media he can comprehend but he can't relate to anything else and if he see's someone like Billy Elish who on her rise was 15/16 but acted an looked like someone in her mid 20's he feels guilty for the thoughts he did have about her an worries about himself being a nonce.

Boomers. Knew quite a few adults as a kid who would store cigarette cartons in the freezer. Even had a Bulgarian neighbor who did it without speaking English so had to be fairly widespread. There are real women who are moderately attractive who genuinely want to suck Josh's dick.
