Anyway, I'm curious as to the reason for her absence. She now has power at her house. Maybe the tornado ripped the plyboard from the side of her house and the tarp from the roof and she's dealing with that? Maybe she's on "meds" and leaving social media alone. Unlikely since we know she gets gibs at the first of the month and now since it's the middle she historically is now out of gimmies. Poor baby. I suspect we'll be hearing from her soon.

There's constant free food available around here... food trucks, restaurants and charities are all setting up free meal stations for victims and volunteers, and it's good food too. None of them are asking for proof that you were in the impacted areas either. I'm guessing she's busy getting more free gimmes irl than she ever could beg up online.

so exactly how did that go down? was Josh there at the theater and the interim GM ordered his friend to ignore the fire and serve customers or something? if he found out after the fact did his friend (who seems to be okay considering Josh doesn't mention injuries) complain to Josh that the interim GM kept serving food (presumably after the grease fire was dealt with and the fryer was inspected and put back into service)?

What an unhinged lunatic. That poor manager was probably so confused. Fuck, I'm confused. How do you "blow up" on someone for a simple accident like that? "HOW DARE YOU HAVE A FUNCTIONING COOKING APPLIANCE IN USE TO PROVIDE PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH FOOD?! YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE THOSE MACHINES ON IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THEM! SAFETY COMES BEFORE ANY ONE OF THE CUSTOMERS FOOD!!!"

Obviously no one was hurt and this accident was resolved quickly, so it actually WAS safety before the customers food. I guess that Joh's lucrative job as a fry cook makes him an expert on all things safe and sanitary in the modern commercial kitchen.

grease fires use grease/oil/fats et c as a fuel source alongside oxygen once you're past ignition. water will spread the fire out as the oil/grease tends to flow or float on top of the water. you are supposed to try to starve the fire through smothering/turn off the heat source, or use a dry chemical extinguisher (class B in the US). do not attempt to move the pot or pan or whatever, and do not use water.

Baking soda works for small grease fires, get a large canister of it because the small boxes arent usually enough. And thoroughly clean/degrease all the surfaces around your stove regularly, including ones you might normally overlook, like undersides of cabinets etc.
