Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Wait they're all going to be in samey looking caves? SUPER SHRINES :story:
We have seen at least 2 different "caves" that look very different from each other in the new trailer. There is the mine and also the M:I sequence that might be the same where Link was using the Glider in a very narrow path. There is also the moment with the giant Zonai robot coming out of the wall which looks different from any other place we've seen. The sequence with Teba's daughter also seems to be some sort of open space "dungeon" with the flying ships and the white monster.

well that was close.
I've tried it out of curiosity but it's been a long time I've played anything Pokemon-related so I remember only a few basic things I've memorized from childhood.

Ys Memoire Oath of Felghana and Akiba's Trip 2: DC are the two Switch games I'll be playing just before Tears of Kingdom, although I'm waiting to see if Akiba's Trip isn't censored due of being a multi-platform release with PS4/Sony.

Is Horror Story a localization of the light gun haunted house shooter? I'd actually buy that one if it was cheap enough.
No, it's an 80s arcade run and gun (aka Demon World), to be released alongside Hellfire and Zero Wing in the #3 release of M2's Toaplan Arcade Garage series. Probably ~8,000 yen + shipping as I believe it will be physical- and JP-only, so needless to say it's cheap enough and indeed an unmissable bargain. Will be one of perhaps five Switch games I pick up for myself this year.

I remember awhile back hearing there was a House of the Dead remake, got excited... then found out it wasn't a light gun game anymore, not even using joycon motion or anything to simulate it like how the Wii did.
Who's been poisoning your mind with these Jewish lies? It does indeed support motion controls for aiming. I thought it worked ok, not as well as a wiimote or lightgun, but a lot of people found it basically unplayable.

...and? Have you ever played Portal?
Each shrine has a almost completely different puzzle and way to solve it. The design is jut to establish the setting and ensure that all key puzzle components are highly visible.
Defenders of BotW never cease to amaze me. :stress:

Guess Zelda didn't have dungeons before OoT then.
Did you play LttP...? OoT is almost like a reimagining/3D remake.

Well when you go out of your way to say how anyone who genuinely enjoyed the game is an uneducated moron not worth the bits their username takes up
...Pretty sure I've never done that. Maybe you're just identifying so closely with BotW that you're taking things I say about the game personally.

Glad you enjoy it
That's fine
Maybe people can still enjoy that, okay
By all means enjoy TotK

And meanwhile old man here is using his Switch to play Breath of Fire because he doesn't have an actual SNES cart... le sad....

(Actually in general, if there's a criticism of Switch's classic console libraries I have, its the sparsity of RPGs. For a long time, across all the digital consoles, Breath of Fire I and II were basically all you got. You've got slightly more now but still, I know they could put more up).

The fact it's missing Chrono Trigger & Super Mario RPG is just crazy.

I know right? I actually thought the latter was a mandela effect because I could swear I saw it there once... though someone later told me I must've been thinking of the SNES Classic console.

They also could put up Arcana, which was made by HAL Labs and thus, Nintendo already owns the rights.

and on the NES side I find it weird they have Startropics but not Zoda's Revenge.

The opposite is true for me, funnily enough.

I'm not going to say that I don't understand where you are coming from. Just that, as someone who loves BOTW, I see plenty in TOTK that builds upon the original and is plenty unique in its own right with everything that was shown off in the new trailer especially.

I won't lie and say that I too wouldn't mind a more traditional entry in the series at some point. But as someone who likes both directions, TOTK looks to be one awesome game.

Right now in EU, there is a few of them on sale:
I actually didn't know that their sales function differently over there, so thank you for that info.
Unfortunately, I'm referring to the United States, where sales on first-parties are nearly non-existent and never substantial.
Sucks shit to hear the situation over in Japan though, jeez. Hopefully you guys get it a little better soon

Also RIP. Shame about Sandbro. Are you doing Little Cup?
(And, unrelated, but did you guys get your Stadium 2 (our Stadium 1) on the service, or the original Stadium only in Japan?)

I will remain forever butthurt about how poorly Zoda's Revenge has been treated. And its not like the original has it much better. We could really do with an Inti Creates produced ST3. I'd even take Wayforward.
