Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Do you guys have any recommendations for (i dunno how to phrase it) but the greatest videos on stories that have a lot of videos about them in varying quality and accuracy?
Like, what do you feel is the greatest and most compelling video explaining shit like Dyatlov Pass or The Toxic Lady and other stories that have over a decade of videos by YouTube channels from before and after new findings are made

Hands down gotta be Wendigoon.

Instead of being all wooOOooOoo it's a mystery we'll never know, he's gone into most common theories and then presented what he thought made the most sense and I personally found his conclusions to be very compelling.

Most recent one he did was on the radioactive Japanese chap where everyone who ever made videos about him demonised the "evil doctors who refused to let him die" or shat on the family for refusing to let him go, when the truth was much more simple and not at all sensational. The story is actually rather touching and I enjoyed his thorough investigation into Hisashi's day to day life and relationships with the medical staff and family.

Toxic Lady
Khamar Daban deaths (similar to Dyatlov Pass)
Hisashi Ouchi radiation poisoning

Oh I agree. True crime YouTubers need to accept they’ll have to get shekels from outside sources even with this pathetic censorship.
While I agree, if YouTube could stop being a bunch of nigger cunts imposing the need for the banal censorship that be great too. Not going to happen, I know but the lengths they are going to restrict content like this being enjoyable to watch/listen to is just bullshit.

The problem isn't the channels, it's the viewers.
It is why streamers put up with Twitch, it's why content creators put up with the levels of restrictions that YouTube keeps enforcing on their particular set of topics. The audience is there, centralized. Generally speaking most people are not willing to migrate to a different platform, because one creator they follow is willing to do so. I wonder if it would be different if somehow all those content creators would collectively move over to a place dedicated to just the true crime and creepy nonsense? Hypothetically speaking, and Ignoring the monetization incentive to stay on YT and apply self-censorship for a minute.

I've been finding the recent interest in finding the sources of classic spooky images funny, honestly. For the most part everyone's about a decade too late to actually succeed. Images get lost all the time online and I'm willing to bet that if any of the source images ever existed in an unedited form online, they're long gone now. Stuff that's taken from films or videogames or art projects, sure, you can find those.
But things like the Jeff the Killer image are most likely always going to be elusive because it was always unknown to everyone who wasn't in on it. Not to mention the fact they were so heavily edited that in most cases you couldn't really be sure unless you could check with the person who created it. I just really don't think they're gonna manage any of it and I'm bored of clicking on videos about it because they always end the same.

thus forcing people to head over to another platform?
ideally there should be many different sites like youtube thriving but Alphabet is one of the feudal lord of the internet. Everything is way to centralized now. They could afford to operate for like a decade without turning a profit just to secure a monopoly.

I feel like the Back Room office is probably a Photoshop job and not real, but it would be interesting to see a break down of how it was made.
In what sense? Like the whole thing cobbled together? At most it's probably some cropped photo of a standard empty vacant room with maybe some yellow filtering over the whole thing, which may be why reverse image searching it doesn't really come back with much. Can't imagine the Anon who originally posted it put much thought into it or that it would be this new thing retarded zoomers would latch onto.

I feel like its a bit too strange to be a empty office, i think walls and doorways were shopped in to make it look more weird, isn't like that would be hard to do.

New Mandela, haven't watched but I wonder how much can Alex dilute the suicide aspects
Zero suicide here.

Windows movie maker intro, news footage gets interrupted by a blurry face, nurses discuss a post-mortem body with its "eyeballs removed" (see: high-contrast photo). Girl talks on NotAOL, shot of a permanently dark room with the light turning on and off, big "NO WHAT STOP!!!", some general footage of the house and then a skinny guy sitting in the bed who starts loudly speaking gobbledy gook, and its over.

Pretty sure VibingLeaf has been brought up already but his follow up videos to his red mist retake are really good. They’re not shit your pants scary but I like that they’re atmospheric, open for discussion.
I’m just impressed he can take dogshit creepypasta like Squidward’s Suicide and make it interesting. Hope his channel keeps growing and he does more of these.

Okay so it's been a hot minute since I've last looked at the backrooms, and I have to say the overall area does look a bit... off?

Like I don't know why the two walls in front here have completely seperate wallpaper, and I'm not sure what's going on with the wall branching off into the hallway(?) on the left past the front doorway. As well it's kinda weird how the wall in the middle of the doorway just cuts off before it reaches the ceiling.
This is a very structurally strange building no doubt, and whether it's edited or cobbled together to make it look more odd or not now I'm not so sure. :thonking:

Ngl it always gave me the impression that it was just an old or disused convention center that was sectioned off very badly to make individual sections

Good god that sounds so fucking lame and gay.

Its sad seeing someone castrate their own creation for updoots
But you don't understand! He's being considerate! It just goes to show how much of a filmmaker he is! Just ask the Zoomers!

All joking aside, it really is such a shame. As Mandela was, it was interesting with a fascinating concept. It wasn't high art or John Carpenter levels of horror but it had some neat ideas.

Now it's just lame and sanitized because of stupid reasons.

Slightly PL but I had a conversation with someone after I shared the first remade video with them and they went on a long tangent on how it was "totally justified because suicide is sensitive and it could be that he had a family friend or someone close to him take their own life. He's just looking out for himself!"

To my knowledge, Alex has not even alluded to such a thing, not that he needs to blast that to the entire worldwide web so I politely called bullshit on such ane excuse.

---

So while the site was down, New Disturban. I am really not liking the new way he's making titles and I think he began to get backlash for it because the original title of this video was "Teen Murdered Over A Drink"

Anyway, this is the story from jolly ol' England again, this time from Essex. The sad story about some kid getting peer-pressured into going to some unorganized party where he got dragged into an altercation with some violent psychopaths because said psychopaths wanted the kid's whiskey and didn't think to just fucking get their own.

Absolute senseless killing.

Is it just me or is the UK just a cesspool for murder and degeneracy in the EU? It's like the America of Europe.

Edit: forgot to add the video, my bad

Now Jorge is paywalling the uncut version on his patron. Is he serious at this point? I'm not gonna repeat myself for the millionth time but if someone is subbed to his patron. Download and upload the uncut version up on youtube just to spite the little grifter.

Also Is Jorge & Sakara Strdust in a relationship since they are together in most of their videos.
