I think he's just an addict, he'll rationalize the cause of his health problems as being anything other than his food addiction. Not really any different from someone dependent on heroin or alcohol who keeps shooting up or drinking after they caught HIV from a shared needle or went into DTs during a detox.

Jack's egg video has triggered me, and I fully admit I am the fucking idiot for even watching it.

He is so damn stupid. Yes the egg shortage was real due to a bird flu that killed/infected chickens. He is confusing it with SARS the "bird flu" that infected humans that didn't cause eggs to go up in price.

He acts like everyone has a $5,000 freeze dryer at home.

The dumb ass made powdered eggs, a product that is readily available. Hotels and restaurant purchase it in bulk.

To recap, Jack used a $5,000 machine to make powdered eggs that were not in short supply.

Maybe Jack should freeze dry his dead arm and reconstitute it to try and bring it back to life.

According to google it might kill some bacteria but mostly it only slows down or inhibits its growth, similar to tossing something in a regular freezer.

Maybe I'm retarded, but if egg prices are so high wouldn't it make more sense just to buy powdered eggs in bulk to keep in storage rather than doing it yourself with currently expensive ones? Not to mention the risk of salmonella, even though Jack's probably immune to it now.

Hell, if he's so concerned about an upcoming egg shortage, why not just get some chickens after they move to a supposedly more rural area?

The main thing about freezing, flash freezing, and freeze drying is that you're removing water and replacing it with ice crystals. All that does is slow down the bacteria and as soon as you bring it back up to temperature, the bacteria becomes active again. Some bacteria can be partially killed off by this, but it's not a 100% sure proof way. So, if those eggs had Salmonella before freeze drying, then he made Salmonella powder.
