Cleopatra should be played by a black actor – but not just because it might be more accurate - Woke Journalist advocates for Cleopatra to be played by a black woman just for diversity

There was a time, long ago, when women ruled with unparalleled power.
Women = tyrants?

Really makes you think.
As warriors.
Until men came along and wrecked their shit.

And these men didn't even have to take horse piss before they did it.
I would die for Egypt. What would you die for?
Wasn't Egypt reduced to a Roman province after Cleopatra's rule?
I am Isis. I am a god.
*Chuckles in Augustus*
Why be a god when you could be a Princeps?
Better for your career and health.
Julius Caesar is aware that Cleopatra is one of the best-educated women in the Mediterranean. He wants to be king to Cleopatra's queen.
Absolute horseshit. As demonstrated in life, Caesar did not want to be king (refused the crown from Antony). He was already Dictator. And, as demonstrated by the outrage of the Romans over the revelation of Antony's will, the Roman people would not accept anything that smelled of foreign rulers or gods (which is based).
There is no Rome without Egypt.
But there is an Egypt without the Ptolemaic Dynasty, as Augustus ably demonstrated.
I don't care what they tell you in school, Cleopatra was black.
Okay then. Show the points in 270 year reign of the Ptolemys when the bloodline was suffused with all of these Mandingo genes.
Her story resonates with every woman.
Destroying her family through failed political intrigues, fucking strange men to maintain power, and ending her genetic line when schemes fail?

Fun story. First hand accounts of Cleopatra by the Roman's said she had Red hair and Pale skin.

Gingers truly are the most oppressed minority. Stop ginger erasure!

Just because they're anagrams doesn't mean you can just up and change gingers to niggers.

but there were some black egyptians therefore all egyptians are black
just like how obama is black therefore all americans are black
DAS RITE
WE WUZ SLAVE OWNERS AN SHEEEIT

Cleopatra was born into an inbred family of degenerates who hailed from FUCKING GREECE as heirs to one of Alexanders generals who claimed Egypt as his own.

She wasn't fucking black, at best she was maybe MAYBE a little olive toned. Hell, even the local born Egyptians were not black you fucking mongoloids.

Mind you, this also wasn't even true. She had to get the Romans to help her take power from her brother and ONLY maintained power due to the Romans keeping her in power.

Cleopatra's most notable feature was that she won her "wars" through intrigue, diplomacy and guile. She was not a warrior, general or anything else like that. She deferred those duties to MEN far more experienced/suited for warfare. She is the complete opposite of a warrior.

Eh, it was clearly a show orchestrated by Caesar to see how the people would react if he was offered the crown and they did not react well so he improvised denying it. He wanted to be king, but not if the people would be against it.

He most certainly did not want Cleopatra as his queen though. As a mistress sure, but never in a position of legal marriage since he was savy enough to recognize it as political (and actual) suicide.

Rome also existed for a LONG time without Egypt as a vassal/province under them. Egypt was INCREDIBLY valuable for trade absolutely, but Rome could and did survive without it. It was Northern Africa, which neighbored Egypt that Rome couldn't survive without because it was the empires bread basket where a large amount of food for parts of the empire that were agriculturally lacking (urban centers) was produced.

Netflix is truly just shit. They cancel 1899, but greenlight this piece of shit.

Oh and woulda look at that, Jada Pinkett-Smith is producing it, the woman that influenced her husband to slap a comedian on international television.
How about she play the lead, just make her nose bigger? I'm not sorry for my post. Just turn the Roman emperors black too and add "based on a true story"

Certain black american pieces of garbage think because their ancestors were slaves they have the right to steal other cultures and rewrite history. Their ancestors were victims and now they are "taking back" what was "always theirs" 'n shieeet. Except they are nothing but racist black supremacists accusing "the white man" of cultural appropriation while doing the same and being proud of it.

Slavery is the only reason why Netflix is kissing their ugly asses. As if they were the only ones with ancestors who suffered. The fucking romans had slaves and slavery still exist ffs!

Fuck cuck Smith and his nasty ass bald harpy wife! Fuck everyone who participated in this Netflix pile of shit and of course fuck Netflix!

Give me a trillion top hats but this shit seriously makes me angry,

Not everyone on the entire continent of Africa is black. The Ancient Egyptians were probably not black, they clearly depicted blacks (Nubians) different from themselves. Cleopatra wasn't even ethnically Egyptian, she was Macedonian Greek. She was descended from Alexander the Great's generals who conquered Egypt and were installed as rulers.

This not so little detail been chaffing the Marxist revisionists arses for as long as I can remember. The mere idea of someone living past or present in Africa and isn't a negro or part of the slave trade is something their world view can not comprehend.

Yeah, if these activists want to educate people, at least be correct. As everyone states, Cleopatra wasn't even ethnically African/Egyptian. She was Greek and likely ugly due to all that inbreeding. Maybe she had an olive complexion at most, but she wasn't a nigger.

The weirdest thing is, there are tons of civilizations in Africa that these coons could be focusing on. Mansa Musa, of the Mali Empire in West African was probably one of the richest people of his time. Why don't they ever glorify him? Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba was a queen of what is modern-day Angola. She fought against the Portuguese and although lost, is still revered in Angola today. Why is it always Cleopatra getting the spotlight, despite these people claiming for new stories?

Woke activists want to challenge stereotypes while reinforcing them. Not Africa, but they screech that not everyone in Asia has slanted-eyes, and yellow skin. Or not all Asians are even Chinks. But then they got mad when Mulan's skin tone was made ghost white.

It's why this sort of ironic ignorance falls flat when they want to acknowledge diversity but still keep people under narrow boxes. In regards to "representation", these people also expected Shang Chi and Raya and the Last Dragon to be an automatic success among "Asians", until they realized that not every Asian is a Chink or likes the Chinks. If we're being technical, India is also part of Asia and so is Israel. But I guess the latter doesn't count as they're a "colonizer" state made up largely of European/American Jewish immigrants and all Easterners are slanted-eyed chinks. The world is "diverse" until it impedes on their worldview, and then its okay to ignore it.

Mulan's redesign:

Yet they loved the Chink actress who played live-action Mulan (until her political views came to light). Guess what her skin tone looked like... it wasn't brown or literally yellow.

i always love how people think because it's all one continent, everyone on africa must have looked the same
but evil white land europe was very diverse
and all asians are slanty koreans
It's funny how stories set in Europe, especially in the past are justified in being made "diverse" in modern adaptations... even if the story clearly states that everyone belonged to a European ethnic group. But you never see these people champion stories about Chinks or Nigerians to have "diversity".

I wonder what kind of cognitive dissonance these people will get when they realize that some Melanesians can have natural blonde hair and blue eyes, as do some Chink Uyhurs. That's not to forget that due to Western kolonializm n shet, lots of people have European ancestry/appearance. But diversity only matters when it's convenient. I've seen some of them are shocked that the island of Madagascar is considered part of Africa or that Israel is part of Asia. Apparently the latter is a "kolonizer state" made up of European/American Jewish immigrants so it doesn't "count".

I think what really kicked the ant hill this time was the decision to make this a documentary. They could have had the Afrocentric "We Wuz Kangz" if it was a Docudrama. But the fact Jada Smith is trying to shove this crap straight went too far for the normies.

As an aside. These people also screeched about the casting in God's of Egypt. OMG, white washing! Except the lead actor was a fucking Egyptian. Trust me, there are no depths too low for these clowns.

lol the whole WE WUZ KANGZ shit from American blacks is just weapons grade copium for not being able to deal with the fact that their ancestors were a bunch of hut dwelling, half naked spear chuckers.
