Not everyone on the entire continent of Africa is black. The Ancient Egyptians were probably not black, they clearly depicted blacks (Nubians) different from themselves. Cleopatra wasn't even ethnically Egyptian, she was Macedonian Greek. She was descended from Alexander the Great's generals who conquered Egypt and were installed as rulers.
Yeah, if these activists want to educate people, at least be correct. As everyone states, Cleopatra wasn't even ethnically African/Egyptian. She was Greek and likely ugly due to all that inbreeding. Maybe she had an olive complexion at most, but she wasn't a nigger.
The weirdest thing is, there are tons of civilizations in Africa that these coons could be focusing on. Mansa Musa, of the Mali Empire in West African was probably one of the richest people of his time. Why don't they ever glorify him? Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba was a queen of what is modern-day Angola. She fought against the Portuguese and although lost, is still revered in Angola today. Why is it always Cleopatra getting the spotlight, despite these people claiming for new stories?
This not so little detail been chaffing the Marxist revisionists arses for as long as I can remember. The mere idea of someone living past or present in Africa and isn't a negro or part of the slave trade is something their world view can not comprehend.
Woke activists want to challenge stereotypes while reinforcing them. Not Africa, but they screech that not everyone in Asia has slanted-eyes, and yellow skin. Or not all Asians are even Chinks. But then they got mad when Mulan's skin tone was made ghost white.
It's why this sort of ironic ignorance falls flat when they want to acknowledge diversity but still keep people under narrow boxes. In regards to "representation", these people also expected Shang Chi and Raya and the Last Dragon to be an automatic success among "Asians", until they realized that not every Asian is a Chink or likes the Chinks. If we're being technical, India is also part of Asia and so is Israel. But I guess the latter doesn't count as they're a "colonizer" state made up largely of European/American Jewish immigrants and all Easterners are slanted-eyed chinks. The world is "diverse" until it impedes on their worldview, and then its okay to ignore it.
Mulan's redesign:
Yet they loved the Chink actress who played live-action Mulan (until her political views came to light). Guess what her skin tone looked like... it wasn't brown or literally yellow.
i always love how people think because it's all one continent, everyone on africa must have looked the same
but evil white land europe was very diverse
and all asians are slanty koreans
It's funny how stories set in Europe, especially in the past are justified in being made "diverse" in modern adaptations... even if the story clearly states that everyone belonged to a European ethnic group. But you never see these people champion stories about Chinks or Nigerians to have "diversity".
I wonder what kind of cognitive dissonance these people will get when they realize that some Melanesians can have
natural blonde hair and blue eyes, as do some
Chink Uyhurs. That's not to forget that due to Western kolonializm n shet, lots of people have European ancestry/appearance. But diversity only matters when it's convenient. I've seen some of them are shocked that the island of Madagascar is considered part of Africa or that Israel is part of Asia. Apparently the latter is a "kolonizer state" made up of European/American Jewish immigrants so it doesn't "count".
