Yeah, I said that in my post. The regions all have Russian populations that are larger than the rest of the populations. The only way I could see it happening is if Russia became really weak and was unable to hold onto those territories. When the US started expanding people brought up the fact that controlling all that territory would be hard to do. People who own large pieces of land have trouble doing this. It's not impossible that Russia could become that weak. I just don't see it happening anytime soon. But I didn't think Russia was going to invade Ukraine either. I also didn't think they would lose this badly. So, what do I know? lol

he T-62 and after all require manual loaders. Loading a tanks main gun isn't that easy. It can take your hand or arm off from what I have heard. It's not brain surgery but you have to know what you are doing. You also have to do it quickly and under the pressure of combat conditions. Fumbling around and dropping the round isn't something you want happening when your death is just seconds away. From what I read years ago American M1 crews were trained to load a new round pretty quickly. Most tank battles only last a few minutes. It usually boils down to who gets seen first and who gets the first shot off. Americans keep the human loader because they don't breakdown and it keeps an extra person on the crew that can help with repairs. The Russians went with autoloaders. If they are going to start using tanks without autoloaders, they need to start training loaders again. Which they haven't done in decades. I imagine they are short of at least 1 crew member for those tanks. There is going to be a lot of short Russian guys getting a quicky and dirty lesson on how to load a tanks main gun. Russians prefer to stick shorter guys in tanks because of how small their tanks are. At least that's what I heard. I guess at this point they are sticking anyone they can find in them. I even heard a story about some Russian sailors having to abandon their tank in Ukraine. Fucking sailors.

This drone assembly line appears to be in Taiwan; I doubt Russia has anything like this going for them, even from China.

Granted these are much more vulnerable to fire from the ground and SAMs, but it appears lately the Russians have been somewhat lacking MANPADs and radar/IR-controlled AAA vehicles, which has led them to rely on those MT-LB monstrosities & 1940's AA guns for anti-drone work.

Although it may also be a doctrine thing; i.e. Russians aren't allowed to expend MANPADS on anything other than conventional fixed or rotary wing aircraft; unlike the Ukrainians who have no compunction about shooting at even Mavics with Stingers, SA-9, or Starstreaks.

Some of the drones the Ukrainians use come from China. Imagine these Chinese have some drone manufacturing plants like this or at least somewhat comparable. Of course, China won't ship them directly to Ukraine. They have to be shipped somewhere else and then shipped to Ukraine. The Zumwalts themselves are most certainly not retarded although the management of the program most certainly was. The program management for the Oliver Perry class frigate, Nimitz class supercarrier, and San Antonio class LPD were almost and just as bad as the Zumwalt.

Congress cutting the Zumwalt production to save a buck is costing them a fuck ton more money to restart the Burke line. As the builders and supply chain had shut down the Burke line were set up and ready to make Zumwalts. US Navy had been working with 8 in. and 16 in. cannons for ultra long range shooting and were doing pretty well. Of course everything that had a 8 in and 6 in gun got retired and/or scrapped at the latest with the end of the Cold War.

Sea patrol, escort* and other colonial type duties are exactly what the LCS are good for as is. Right now the Navy been using them as carrier escorts which is not slowly destroying the Littoral combat ships and taxpayer money as they're not designed or built for that. All because the Brass doesn't to do boring shit liking U.S coastal waters, US fishing fleet, treaty obligated protection duties for all of those piss ant countries who are not paying the United States for protection and etc.

That's not as stupid as you think given Russia's organization and regarding the humans involved as interchangable parts. Some Russian Naval formations have mechanized arms (like how the US Marines had tank divisions until recently; don't get me started there) only instead of branch-wide formations each brigade is expected to be self-sufficient. Thus all Marines are sailor and all sailors are potential marines.

On 3 June 1999, Boris Yeltsin signed a decree commuting the death sentence of 713 prisoners held in a special camp near to Vologda. Their sentence was reduced to either life or 25 years in prison. However, although the death penalty was abolished de facto by this decree, it still remains part of the Penal Code.

He got the same amount of years people who were on death row got when capital punishment was abolished, essentially for saying that Putin is a meanie. So based, much stronk.
