Aside from Danny Phantom and Fairly Odd Parents he didn't really make anyone's childhood though, all his other cartoons were flops, and with the first two he didn't invent the iconic artstyle and idk how much writing he did.

The dude that conceived of Neds Declassified and Big Time Rush seems pretty chill, and the child actors from those shows seem really mentally well compared to most others.

Not as bad as it could've been, especially with how aggressively the straight characters in this show make out (including in this season) butjeez Bowies voice is annoying, and most of the outfits are still really ugly and bland.
But was expecting worse based on the fart shit in the season.
Apparently there was a whole challamge focused around farts or smth in episode 5...
Also Rippers character is centered around farts.

Bojack inspired maybe only one imitator and that was tucca and bertie. And calling that show an imitator is dubious at best the only comparison you can make is that it's a slice of life adult cartoon. Only instead of a washed up Hollywood has been the show focuses on a single girl in her 30s (again projection much?) Trying to get her life on order.

Conversely after Rick and morty took off, how many adult cartoons have tried to be simplistic sci fi comedies that try to be more than just "silly sci-fi cartoons. " often by trying to cram in what the writers think is intellectual or insightful writing.

I think the issue @Oilspill Battery is hitting upon is that there's literally NO traits of femininity in these women. Being brash, arrogant, aggressive, and having dyke-hair is all they have because they're STRONK and INDEPENDUNT. Hence, they're just men in tits.

Eh, some women not having any feminine traits is no big deal. The STRONK UND INDEPENDUNT comes from people who either don't know how to write these characters or hate women like that. Korra is one of best examples of this. She has all the negative traits of Katara and Toph but none of the good ones. Korra is self righteous and arrogant without the skills to back up her shit talk.

I know a handful of women that live in rural areas that look like President of the Bulldykes who live on 1600 Dykesylvania Ave. and you'd only know they were straight was because they have husbands and children. They are all quite muscular and have very short hair and mostly wear pants/overalls (dresses were for special occasions) because looking feminine is impractical on a farm and during work. They are blunt, aggressive, smoke and drink like no one's business (their husbands smoke and drink even more).

The fact that so many writers are unable to write worlds that don't resemble american coastal cities is part of the reason why fiction is so shit today.

You've yet to explain why white men being the main characters of western fiction is a problem but black men and asian men being the main characters of african and asian fiction isn't.

I never said that white men being protags of western fiction is a problem, it's perfectly fine. There are European main characters in manga sometimes and that doesn't bother me because why would it.

Well yea, Jhonen Vazquez appears to be a very chill, very polite guy. Even the cast and crew, and especially Nick, love the guy so much, so you can't really blame him.

While John K., Dan Schneider and Butch Hartman both had skeletons in their respective closets, only two of the three are complete groomers while Hartman became a snake and an evangelical schizo, as shown in his failed Oaxis Kickstarter stream five years ago. My god, Nick is full of mentally ill people, which isn't surprising.

I'd argue korra is a perfectly feminine character, she's irrational and has no accountability for anything she does. Those are feminine traits through and through in that same way that egomania and sociopathy are mostly male traits.

The problem with korra isn't that she isn't feminine, its that she's a huge cunt and a failure of an avatar but the story never acknowledges it. A story about the worst avatar ever is actually a cool idea, the problem is that korra is the worst avatar ever but the story pretends she isn't because it refuses to hold her accountable for her irrational descisions.

Anyway, Katara also had negative female traits (she was histrionic) but balanced them out with positive female traits (she was motherly and empathetic) which korra lacks.

This is what I mean when I say male and female characters aren't interchangable. You can't genderswap aang and katara because they are extremely gendered characters which is part of the reason why they're so well written, because every aspect of them is fully realized.

Korra has many problems, but to the writers credit "Man with tits" isn't one of them, even if it was by accident.

I hated that ember freak, what I really wanted was a Ku Klux Klan except it was like that Russian gizmo cult and they just burned crosses while thinking they’re Danny phantom. That would be the funniest thing ever and I laugh about it a lot.

Since this is western animation do commercials from down under count too? I found some Aussie pudding commercials in my recommend and they’re pretty funny.

Also, how's the voice of Chris now, given that Terry McGurrin took over voicing him, after accusations on Christian Potenza came out? I don't think they were proven, yet, but given how quickly he was removed from the spotlight, maybe they were true, or even worse. Messing around with gibs in welfare countries makes you look like a real shithead.

The episode where we see the mothers flashback to when Luz was a kid was just painfull to watch. Luz being a spoiled brat that would shove snake skins into other kids faces and show a lack of ANY logical thinking. And all the mother did was look at her little gremlin and laugh just how precious she is.

Yeah, that was bad on so many levels.

Luz definitely needed some discipline when she was younger. I understand it’s hard to be a single parent and I’m all for letting kids enjoy their childhoods. But shoving snake skins into other kid’s faces is not okay.

And on top of that aside from farting his character is dumb and a jerk and significantly less likeable than Owen.
