The Crisis Core remake is no joke, and would absolutely ruin him. Especially if he even tried to do all the optional quests and side content and one of the most insane super bosses ever. He would never even come close to beating Minerva.

I doubt it. Minerva on normal difficulty will one shot most well prepared players. He would absolutely go for a Costly Punch build which will deal 100k damage per hit but on hard mode, Minerva has 77,777,777 HP. Maybe he could get lucky on regular mode 10,000,000 HP only, but these aren't short fights he has the reflexes of a turtle. He would get tired and frustrated.

I bet he knows how hard Minerva is and realizes people will beg him to beat her and he knows he just can't do it and is afraid to play the game because of it.

Interesting theory. I went back and looked at tips for the YOY and January and March 2023 to compare (Thanks @Piece of Peace for the spreadsheet and work) He's definitely still seeing a slight decline in tips YOY comparing the same period of time (4/1 - 4/16):

This doesn't include the patreon video's he's taking streams off to do so that might "equal" it out, but tips overall are down despite detractor channels being nuked. It will be interesting to see if that theory plays out though. My guess is it would be ad revenue that he see's go up since you cant watch as many restreamers now. But I wouldn't expect that to be massive.

Phil's YouTube career is very clearly dying. I think he had one chance at a small revival with the SideScrollers podcast. But instead of that revival, he put two nails in the coffin he is already headed for instead of one.

Question: Do you guys think Phil keeps track of tips close enough to realize hes on a downward slope, and therefore tarding more out with copyright strikes than usually?

I’d imagine that Phil lives from paycheck to paycheck, spending whatever money he has after bills, whether it’s 500$ or 5000$.

The only question is whether his gout brain can keep track of “Hmm… Only had sushi three times this week and not five like the month before!” Or “Last year I could have a pull night twice a week and not just once!”

But his mental faculties seems to have diminished, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the days just turns into one long, monotonous stream for him, and he lost the ability to clearly remember last year.

The chair's a better entertainer, it doesn't constantly make noises that only entertain the heavily disabled, it doesn't snort and sneeze into the microphone, it doesn't call people stupid for not liking a game while saying they wanted it despite them not wanting it at that moment. Phil might actually be onto something, he can't shit up a stream if he's not on it. Or he's doing JPEG pulls or texting dents through Discord, that's more likely.

I had taken a break since the interview, but this Tiermaker trash has made him insufferable. Not only is the content itself torture, but now half of the usual questions just get waved off.

" 'What's my favorite car from the 1990s?' Let's do a Tiermaker about it!"
" 'What was my favorite trip to an Outback Steakhouse?' We're going to be doing Tiermaker events in the future! Suggest it then!"

He's saying he's going to be doing an event in May! Even if it's a full 5-hour marathon stream, that's just 4 Tiermakers, with time for breaks and mukbang. Better take this question which should take a minute to answer (and which DSP can answer in 5) and tease it for an hour-long production in a literal month. He's stalling and won't even cooperate with his audience by answering their repetitive questions. How can even dents find this enjoyable?
