I finally watched the famous video people are hating.
First, it's been spammed by all salty progrs. who are totally not mad at the author and casually posting random stuff there. I personally just choose random videos I don't care about and spam-comment with facts about ferns to prove I don't care about them.
The thing is, the video says really nothing negative. It only offers two possibilities out of one single fact: this is gonna change the group dynamic. This is true. He even says it could be good for the brand. Of course, most young SJWs are autistic and don't understand what he said. Shocking, I know.
Now, my observation about the video itself.
I think I've never watched one single video by MrBeast/Jimmy, so I don't know anything about this dude aside from some random ooc clips and a google search. But I think it's not really a surprise to say that MrBeast is an internet persona in the way Pewdiepie is not Felix and Felix is not Pewdiepie despite some common traits. This is obvious in his most recent videos when his content has been more mature.
Now, Felix's a Swedish liberal, but it's a bit more conservative than your average Swedish lib. He believes in women's rights, but he's not a feminist. He definitely believes in freedom of speech and he's outspoken against tribalism and histrionics that are common among SJWs. He also believes in a Swedish identity that he feels part of despite not living in Sweden. His beliefs are very similar to Sargon's and his "classical liberalism". He is not a political person, so he's more focused on entertaining rather than making long videos about why Sweden is fucked. Also, it's important to notice that whoever were his politics before he was attacked by media back in 2016 or so, he's probably changed (just like how Dankula moved more to the right after his stupid trial).
I think MrBeast is a bit the same. Despite he's now agnostic (allegedly, according to google), he was raised more conservative and Christian and that's something you can't just shake out easily. Sure, he's more liberal, more progressive, and all that, but there is a core within your early education you can't just shake out unless you suffer a big shock -something I'm sure he's not gone through. On this, I think he's like Felix. Someone whose politics are liberal, he knows he works for hardcore liberals, so he rather shuts up about his real feelings and just tries to be tolerant because he truly is. I'm ok with it. No matter how mad I am, I am never gonna yell "you're a fag!" to a colleague in front of my boss.
I mentioned in the Jazz Jennings thread that people can brag and boast about their tolerance until it happens to them, specially when they are not ultra progressive spergs. Like how they all are "allies", but the grandparents quickly said they didn't expect Sander to date a transwoman and how all the children -but Jazz- are straight. Same for the "transwidow" women who open their testimonies with "...but I've always been tolerant and accepting of LGBT" and would probably applaud if another woman's husband troons out. It's only a problem when it happened to them because if affects them directly and ruins their lives. Otherwise, they're fine with it.
MrBeast defends his friend in public because that's what MrBeast would do, but Jimmy is obviously uncomfortable with Chris now being a woman and by his mannerisms. And that's because Chris hasn't become a woman, but a freak who pretends to be a woman and Jimmy knows this. He's not stupid. His content is really basic and generic, so having a man now talking about how "lol, you'd look like this as a woman" is awkward. This is not the content he does and this is not who he is IRL. AGPs have a thing for making everything sexual around them and don't care when people aren't into it because they don't really see this as bad.
Also, all the people involved here are very young. 24 is adulthood, but you're still new to the world. Maybe it's not for you, but for us older folks, it's obvious that all of these people have been pushed into a life that can really fuck you up, unprepared, and they are surrounded by and work for people who don't share their values but they can't say anything otherwise would lose all they've achieved. Pewdiepie was 28 when the controversies happened and he's a bit more mature than these guys, FYI.
