I haven't posted ITT much because Nokes is one of the rare people that make me feel viscerally embarassed for them and I consequently find their output difficult to endure.

But this particular retardation amazes me. Blood oxygen levels will not drop below even just 93% in a normal human being doing highly strenuous exercise. When people start to breathe quickly, that still won't necessarily reflect in their blood oxygen level, because the very behaviour we associate with being "out of breath" compensates to ensure our blood oxygenation remains high, usually above 95% - even athletes that follow the ideas of runners like Emil Zatopek, who held his breath as long as possible inbetween crazy sessions of hyperventilation (thus earning him the moniker "czech locomotive") to increase CO2 saturation in his system, are unlikely to fall below 92%.

What the video does show is that his pulse will jump over 140 bpm just walking stairs for about 30 seconds, which you can see towards the end of the video. Shane isn't super old, so his exertion bpm max is probably around 180. At rest, you'd want his pulse somewhere around 80-90. As he starts, he has presumably waddled to the stairs and thus his heart rate is at 98, which is in a normal-ish range for someone his age. But by the end it is at 142 bpm and rising.
This indicates his heart is already close to 80% strain from minimal movement for less than a minute.

Much like when he brags about being a hacker or w/e, it's a self-own desperately masquerading as an own.
