One thing I would be interested in seeing someone explore is how this affects their relationships with their surgeons.

Last night, I watched a video with a pooner where she said that after she had her tits cut off, one side was bigger than the other and the scars were really bad, but her surgeon was fantastic, y'all.

I forgot there's a difference between poor innocents groomed into undergoing these surgeries by society and/or the system, and those who get it done because they're genuinely sexually deviant autogenophilie freaks. The pain she's experiencing from that excised necrotic quadricep is not going to be something that's transient. She is going to have effects on her gait and mobility for the rest of her life. As you can probably tell by my pfp, I'm trans. Last summer I got a total hysterectomy. It was just my luck that I got this super rare complication known as a cuff tear (twice). What this means is that the part that they sewed up after the surgery has opened, leaving an open door to your insides via the vaginal canal.

That was when my surgeon informed me that I hadn't been prolapsing at all- what I had pushed back into place was my own intestines. And, according to her, I did a pretty good job of it.
Bonus fact: this complication is supposed to be painful as hell, but I was pretty much fine in that regard. I was rock climbing and stuff in the days leading up to my checkup. My surgeon said it was the least dramatic presentation of that complication she had ever seen."

sorry to post yet again on here but idk what to do. i’ve seen other people’s recoveries where they are painless or the pain is managed and everyday my pain is still so bad because my surgeon’s office doesn’t care enough to manage it. they did try to give me new pain meds for nerve pain but they don’t do anything and they don’t seem to care that they don’t do anything and that my split thickness graft is so on fire anytime i walk i can barely even walk. i have no actual pain meds or anything to help rn.

i don’t feel it’s necessary for my pain to be this bad and i’m so tired of the lack of aftercare that i’m so close to ghosting my surgeon and not doing any more post ops and just getting through this pain and finding a new surgeon for my stage 2 because i cannot do this anymore with them

Maybe one day, but not any time soon. Note in this type of article when they talk about ‘embryos that develop normally.’ That means they fertilised stuff in a dish md let it grow a week or two. But human embryos can’t go beyond that point outside the womb becasue at the point they MUST have a placenta. Turning a female cell into an egg or a male cell into a sperm is more doable - but male male babies (female female is actually possible is some species) doesn’t happen. It’s not just the sequence of the genes, but there’s also sex based differences in expression of those genes. We have what’s called imprinting - little CH3 methyl groups that are stamped onto CpG pairs. The effect is (simplifying it a lot) to damp down gene expression. When this process gets fucked up you can have disorders like beckwith-weidermann or Prader-Willi.
There are good reasons to have such expression and you’ll notice that the disorders above are due to growth.
Here’s one theory. Males are best served if the foetus grows. A large foetus can disadvantage the mother, but the fathers genes don’t get that feedback. So they have a selection pressure to drive growth. Now a mothers genes want growth to be kept in check. She’s going to care for that baby anyway and she doesn’t want to be wrecked by a huge foetus. (There’s also an increased pressure like this in species where multiple births/litters happen) so the female expression of the genes has a selection pressure to slightly reduce growth.
When the imprinting is messed up you get growth disorders.
Imprinting marks are stripped off cells and added back in very specific ways we don’t really understand but we know they’re specific to gametes and sex specific. It’s very hard to replicate, and mice have simpler imprinting than humans.
Any kind of IVF doubles the chances of birth defects. It’s expensive. It’s unpleasant, not just the harvesting but the implanting, and sex is fun and free. Humans will not be reproducing in bottles any time soon unless something elite engineered and terrible goes down.

Men admit removing man's body parts including penis​

Two men have admitted removing body parts, including the penis, of a man accused of being the ringleader of a group carrying out and broadcasting castrations.
Damien Byrnes, 35, admitted removing Marius Gustavson's penis and nurse Nathan Arnold, 48, admitted partially removing Mr Gustavson's nipple.
The men, of London, admitted causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
Mr Gustavson, 45, is accused of leading an extreme body modification operation.

A third man, who prosecutors said was a "key player, who had a role as a surgeon in a very large number of procedures", also admitted several offences.

Peter Wates, 66, from Croydon in south London, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to cause GBH between 1 January 2016 and 1 January 2022.
Procedures, including the removal of penises and testicles, were allegedly filmed and uploaded to a payable subscription "eunuch maker" website, run by the alleged ringleader Mr Gustavson, the Old Bailey heard.
The practice is linked to a subculture where men become "nullos", short for genital nullification, by having their penis and testicles removed, the court was told.
Wates, Byrnes and Arnold appeared in court alongside Mr Gustavson and five other defendants who were not asked to enter pleas.
One of those defendants yet to enter a plea, Jacob Crimi-Appleby, 22, from Epsom, Surrey, is accused of freezing Mr Gustavson's leg requiring amputation. He is charged with causing GBH with intent.
Arnold, of South Kensington, west London, who admitted the partial removal of Mr Gustavson's nipple in the summer of 2019, also pleaded guilty to the theft of local anaesthetic lidocaine from the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where he worked in 2016.

He accepted a further offence of possessing extreme pornography.
Byrnes, of Tottenham, north London, admitted removing Mr Gustavson's penis on 18 February 2017.

Mr Gustavson, originally from Norway, is accused of being the ringleader in a wide-ranging conspiracy, involving up to 29 offences of extreme body modifications, the removal of body parts, the trade in body parts and the uploading of videos to his website.
The Metropolitan Police has said the charges relate to 13 alleged victims.
The defendants were arrested after a series of police raids in London, Scotland and South Wales.
Mr Gustavson, from Tottenham, north London, is charged with conspiracy to cause GBH with intent between 2016 and 2022, as well as five counts of causing GBH to five alleged victims.

The five GBH charges include the alleged removal of a man's penis, the clamping of another's testicles and freezing of a leg, which required amputation.
He is also charged with acquiring or possessing criminal property, making an indecent image of a child and distributing an indecent image of a child.
The five other defendants yet to enter pleas are:

• Ion Ciucur, 29, from Gretna Green, Dumfries and Galloway, who is charged with conspiracy to commit GBH with intent

They are deeply broken and insecure young women who are desperate for any hope and assurance. A confident male surgeon (or a female surgeon who projects the Cool Pretty Girl aura like Sidhbh) comes in and woos them and makes them feel like the only person in the world.

In most cases immature young women would have other influences that could help them think about things more sensibly (their parents, friends, wider society) but in this case everyone must agree that their tit-chop surgery is the right choice or else they will literally kill themselves, so they are free to make their bad decisions.

Once they've had the surgery, the cost of dissent is simply too much; the surgeon must be a good guy, or else they have made a mistake (in which case ,they might have to think about what else they've been wrong about...) and they cannot handle that mentally. So, the surgeon is a good guy.

I think this is true even for the men. The vast majority of them are alone and are deeply disturbed. They are convinced that this will fix all of their problems. After the surgery even if they regret it they can not admit it, doing so would actually brake them. They can not get back what they lost and even if the road ahead is shit they have to walk it. They will not detransition. I expect more violent troons in the future.
