With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

They could easily just stream it over youtube, instead of paying $30,000 to Google and Cloudflare so they could "self-host" (while still censoring chat/tts). The only reason it is costing this much is because Sam and crew didn't do their homework on what it takes to run something like this.
 
I know they weren't actually cancelled (yet) but Sam and Jet should really speak to Null about how to actually be cancelproof because they may end up building a small empire with Fishtank and that empire can be just as easily whisked away as a YouTube or Twitch channel. "They" have proven that they can and will cut you off from everything. If they tried even one of the attack vectors they used against The Farms then Fishtank will be dead in the water if this current setback doesn't already kill the momentum. Maybe I sound a bit concern-trolly here but you need to recognize that you're not allowed to have a fun on the internet anymore. Especially when it's your own platform and especially when it's cool and funny.

It only takes one angry tranny or Jew.

And as others mentioned, they could have this back up on YouTube, Twitch, Odysee, Kick or any of those gay platforms by now. But they won't because of greed. They'd rather you not watch at all than chat for free.

They're already censoring wrongthink. Something moderated like fishtank doesn't need something as bulletproof as the farms. They just need people that'll actually read the contracts that Sam and co are signing, so that they don't incur $30,000 costs in 3 fucking days.

They could do it relatively cheaply themselves as well and build whatever custom functionality they want. They just need to have competent people doing the web development and infrastructure. Also, thoroughly test everything. They should not only do dry runs of all of the features, leave it running over night, etc. but they should also do stress tests and make sure that they have a playbook for what to do if they get a lot more traffic than expected.

would get banned if they were on youtube or twitch even with the censoring they have now. They would also loose a large cut of the income

It's kind of crazy that someone as hated and unhinged as Sam only has one single extremely poorly made infograph on him as blackmail. One that is 8 years old at this point too. You would think someone like him would have so much more dirt to dig up.

I was wondering, is it considered psychological warfare for the producers to start sneaking dresses, stockings, lipstick, etc into Simmons room and just never acknowledge it?

They should just bring up all the mass shootings Sam has orchestrated across the years instead of banging some e-girl.

I'll bite, greed sure, but reality is they put this shit on Twitch or YouTube and they will air for a total of 10 minutes before the stream is hit with a ToS strike. As for pulling down the streams you could watch on VLC, unless they were also going through the same cloud provider, it is shit they "pulled them down" but restreamers are eating into their returns. Let's just remind ourselves that is all independently funded by Sam and he's already said the costs are at least $150K. I can understand his monetary desires to make a return on this show since it will go to fund a potential season 2. For independently created media, you should give a little if you can if you enjoy the work you're seeing, it's not a bad thing.
