I think the video was pretty informative as someone who never played either, an insight into what is seemingly permissible and what is not permissible or fashionable to do in a video game, then vs now. I do agree that the newer one does feel like it lost a lot of soul, it appears RE4 had some Japanese-y, Anime, #giragumesh thing going on, remake has generic horror graphical technology TM, cutscenes are flat as a fart, voice acting + sound is flat as a witches tit. It was a good comparison.

Not back 4 blood damning no but, he has other videos like this autistically comparing past and present, it's as good as any other.

Like, look. I get that gamers are retarded and will shell out 70 bucks for a version of a 20 year old game that has less content than the old one on top of having DLC that is just some of that old content. And I know literally faggot youtubers like Sue Lightning aren't gonna be negative because they won't get invited to Capcom USA's headquarters or get review codes if they say anything untoward.

So, it's good to see *someone* with a platform having an opinion that's somewhat against the grain.

i was going to comment a few things about synthetic faggot's video and how he tries to point out that the new knife gimmick being good and how it makes krauser's knife fight better than some stupid QTE even though this fucking faggot said about cinematography a few minutes previous and being unable to put two and two together about krauser's knife fight, saying it's a "reimagining remake" but copping out by saying that there are many things that can be listed even though the shortest would be to point out how REmake4 plays and looks exatamundo like REmake2 because it uses the same fucking engine which is from RE7 and that capcom would make devs lazily use the same artistic direction in these games because they expect you to create familiarity between them as they hope you to buy all of the games using RE engine but meh, i've gotten used to seeing such on the fence damage control for a while now, it's annoying to dedicate brainpower only to realize it's some cheap faggot cope in order to lighten your criticism towards something because it's a dishonest tactic from someone that wish to play both sides.

this faggotfight alongside crowbcat's backtrack is actually more entertaining than the game which had a microtransaction update recently after all the praising review period stopped.

You literally cannot criticize certain games or studios on pretty much any social media platform or forum anymore. The television and film online arenas for discourse and criticism have been laid to waste and highly censored for years. And people are used to the extreme moderation to the point where they do not even voice their opinions anymore for fear of being banned from the entire site or forum. It got to the point where IMDB just flat out shut down its discussion board rather than even bother to control the dissent and open discussions.

Stuff like IMDB or RottenTomatoes or Metacritic locking accounts and reviews for certain movies or show due to "brigading" or "review bombing" is now commonplace for games as well. Or IMDB refusing reviews for its Lord of the Rings television show as Amazon owns them both.

I am not even sure it is the fandoms doing the censoring but more likely it is someone from the industry. For smaller content moderation sure you can have a maniacal rabid fan monitor some online sphere and turn it into a positive echochamber. But the big forums on a place like Reddit clearly are fully controlled and astroturfed by a handful of publicists and PR workers. Who carefully pick and choose which stories and articles make it to the top. Disney for example has a few accounts that can submit a story to the top of basically reddit group when they need to promote some project like the next Star Wars shows or whatever.

I am not really convinced that the fanbases of games are polarized. Probably the majority of people hate the endless remasters and rehashed content. But 90% of social media posts about remasters are positive simply due to crowd control and PR workers censoring everything.

Like at this point if you read about games on reddit or neogaf or some other faggot site....are you really looking for honest debate and deep meaningful discussion? Or are you just looking to fuel the outrage machine? And pointlessly rage against the echo chambers for limp-wristed dweebs?

The point I am making is that the fan bases are not nearly as divided as social media would have people to believe.
