Beautifully put. I think Michael Knowles said it best. Transgenderism needs to be eradicated. There's no compromise on this issue. Men can't be women, women can't be men. Full stop. End of story. Gender ideology is nonsense. All of it. And it must be rejected in entirety.
There's an analogy I like to use with all of this hyper-liberal, "freedom" nonsense that has pervaded the culture these days.
Imagine a large and prosperous city, surrounded by towering, sturdy walls. The city has lived in relative peace and prosperity for generations, to the point where the newest generation has only ever known the walls. Eventually, the new generation decides the walls are impeding them. They're getting in the way. They're old and not needed anymore, and they should tear them down and expand the city. Think of the new opportunities! What could lie beyond the walls? Surely they can expand the city, make it bigger, more accommodating, more free!
So the newest generation begins to tear down the walls, but they quickly find out the purpose of the walls. The walls were not meant to box them in, the were meant to keep the evils of the outside world out. Now the walls are down, terrible monsters are coming in and wreaking havoc on the city, and we're all lamenting and wishing we could rebuild them.
That's what liberalism is to me. The walls are the old standards and traditions we used to have, the old rules and mores of society, and we, in our pursuit of more "freedom" and "liberty" tore them down. Now we're finding out that those old standards were there to protect us, not to oppress us. They were meant to keep our basest perversions and desires in check, and to keep civilization, well, civilized.
“Tradition is a set of solutions for which we have forgotten the problems. Throw away the solution and you get the problem back. Sometimes the problem has mutated or disappeared. Often it is still there as strong as it ever was.” ― Donald Kingsbury
