Okay, but how many times did the French bomb their own cities while the Germans were making their way to Paris?Allied bombing raids hit wrong countries a few times.
I'm almost willing to bet dollars to donuts the United States military had bombed the wrong continent at least once.Allied bombing raids hit wrong countries a few times.
The US has almost nuked itself by accident at least once.I'm almost willing to bet dollars to donuts the United States military had bombed the wrong continent at least once.
The bomb hasn't been retrieved, I believe. It's still there. The US has almost nuked itself by accident at least once.
To be fair only small scale explosives by resistance forces and even then historical sites were spare and civilian lives and French had proper military doctrine and discipline unlike soviets and Russians who kill their own to achieve their goal.Okay, but how many times did the French bomb their own cities while the Germans were making their way to Paris?
I must say it is very thoughtful of them. That's some crazy shit. The Russians are bombing their own city so the Ukrainians don't have to.
Too much pre flight Vodka is more likely. lol
Neutral Ireland, the Saorstat was bombed a few times. Now some have theorised that at least one bombing was a warning. Ireland has a few naval bases, the Treaty Ports that Chamberlain had given up in c '37 to end the economic war, a respectable number of fighting men and (related the first and more for age of sail) a sailing from Ireland to England was far easier and safer than from the Low Countries or France, if it wasn't a 'Protestant Wind' at work. Churchill also offered the six counties, but the seriousness of that is unclear. It would've been over the objections and possible dead bodies of many of the officer class who saw that in Ireland's War of Independence and Civil War one fifth of country houses, belonging to their kith and kin were burnt deliberately.I'm almost willing to bet dollars to donuts the United States military had bombed the wrong continent at least once.
For one thing they've half the population. While, say, Kazakhstan is a no fucks given despotism, it is a better example of a successful developmental dicatorship. A disproportionate number of kontrakni are Asians were the Russian far east and the 'stans were a key source of troops for the Afghan invasion (itself insane as it meant overthrowing an ardent Communist dictator who thought until the last moment that the spetnaz were UK or US forces so was trying to raise the Soviet Embassy by phone or radio). Also Ukraine provided much of the more Soviet arms industry like the Kharkiv Design Bureau, birthplace of the T-54 and T-64 plus rocketry and aerospace orgs.People didn't pay attention to war in Georgia or two wars in Chechenya.
If russian social media and Z go by. Russians never recovered from fall of soviets, want authoritarian rulers and bloodshed.
Reminds me of ISIS and CCP tactics and westerners who simp for those groups.

This isn't looking good for Russia, which is why Putin escalated nuclear alert to red.
Via RALee85 twitter:So let me get this straight. Belgorod got bombed not because of a mechanical fault but because the dumbass pilot could not read a map?
Holy fuck, I have hard time believing this is real, even considering... everything. I'm curious about the target as well.Via RALee85 twitter:

"The Fighter Bomber says this was probably a UMPK FAB-500M62 glide bomb, but the wings didn't initiate for some reason so the bomb just fell. He says the fuze was set on delay, and detonated as it should (for targeting an underground target).
It sounds as though this may not have been an accidental release, but the bomb's wings just didn't function properly. The UMPK reportedly has a 50-70km range, which would put Kharkiv in range from Belgorod. The question is why a bomb was released over a city given the risks."

The story I heard was that some airplane used ethanol as coolant, and whenever one of them would come back to base, everyone would come out with cups and containers to drinkSpeaking of "pre-flight vodka", it made me recall the fact that sometimes Russians drink aviation fuel, so it might be that.
I'm not sure about the specifics, but that's the meme.
Air for the crew was provided by a bleed air system on the engine compressors. This air was hot and had to be cooled before being pumped into the cockpit. This cooling was provided by a large total-loss evaporator running on a mixture of 40% ethanol and 60% distilled water (effectively vodka). This system garnered the aircraft one of its many nicknames, the "supersonic booze carrier". As the system vented the coolant after use, the aircraft could run out during flight, and comfort had to be balanced by the possibility of running out of coolant.[23] Numerous cases of Tu-22 crews drinking the coolant mixture and becoming paralytically drunk led to a crackdown by Soviet Air Force authorities. Access to the bombers after flights was restricted, and more frequent checks were made on coolant levels. This higher level of security, however, did not end the practice outright.
Also, Zelensky was in Avdiivka today; the fuckwit vatniks immediately started insisting that the warehouse & soundstage he uses isn't anywhere near the front, and the conscripts/ actors hate him. Meanwhile, small arms & artillery is heard in the background.
Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were absolutely loathed by a big chunk of the US voter base, yet it took decades to get out of there. US is perfectly capable of supporting unpopular wars if it makes strategic sense.
Comedian (Russian language) to TV President (Ukrainian) to real one. He's a pitchman getting money and (mostly) old equipment (like Polish T-72s or MiG-29s) from NATO. He also can get this or that offence taking Hollyweirdos to be ambassadors ensuring money flow. Ukraine has to both fund a state and an outsized military with a shrinking economy. And in the realms of reality (as opposed to six gorillion dead Ukies), he presides over a state that held back and pushing back the alleged no 2 military power. The military bit might owe more to C in C Zaluzhnyi (and the Defence Minister curbing his or his pals magpie tendencies but the comparison should be made to the invader which tolerated thieving as it meant loyalty and disposibilty) and soldiers, but Zelenskyy has achieved astonishing things and has exposed Russia for real as a flailing third world (or BRICS, same thing) despotism, and largely harmless to developed countries.
You have to give some credit to those drivers, a bomb falls out of nowhere and they just go on their way with no fucks given![]()

That's the most Russian thing I've heard all morning. That's some crazy shit. The Russians are bombing their own city so the Ukrainians don't have to.

The very central core is (it sunk too far in swampy land to be dug up) but is completely incapable of going BOOM on its own and would require a multimillion dollar effort to even find what's left, which wouldn't be weapons-viable anyhow. The bomb hasn't been retrieved, I believe. It's still there.
Best guess why they released the bomb over the city it that they are afraid of posable patriot battery being stationed over Kharkiv due that fucking radar its packing is scary if in good hands it can practly see anything hence why in one interview where an anime fag is interviewing a patriot battery operator said that they hope it chould shoot down a Kinzal hypersonic due it will detect it and they will have data for itIt sounds as though this may not have been an accidental release, but the bomb's wings just didn't function properly.
