I wondered why Ian doesn't do what literally everybody else is doing and pick up a sponsorship from the Sonoran Desert Institute or whatever. I'd rather hear Ian shilling for something than one of the dudebros, just on tone alone, but on second thought I realized he probably wants to keep things in the videos relevant to the guns themselves. And he can charge a lot more for a whole video as opposed to just an ad insert.

And it's a lot easier for me as a viewer to just not watch a video that doesn't have a new (old) gun on the thumbnail. Hopefully he'll have a new batch of videos covering actual forgotten weapons lined up for next week.

On a different point, the reason that 4chan pol types hate Ian was over a Rhodesia comment made by Vickers on a video. Ian told a bunch of them they were full of shit in the comments, he was probably right, but they felt betrayed. The old r/gats subreddit banned mention of him after that. They've been trying to make psyops shit up ever since, but it is transparent, fake and very LGBTQ+, so it never sticks.

I'm not entirely sure Ian is running out of guns to cover, he's probably "optimizing " better his content output (after all, there's truly a shitton of guns around, and he has not covered a lot of stuff I've seen in museums around Europe, hell, he hasn't covered rare-ish pieces that are in my own collection). He's probably thinking long-term, the daily good video is a thing of the past.

Site is fucking up for me still so I couldn't get more involved in my statement than "they all shill shit.".

I wanted to go into how they all pretty much HAVE to shill garbage if Youtube is their main source of income due to how things have been demonetized over the years, length requirements, etc etc. I'd be more surprised if Ian DOESN'T shill shit.
