Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Damn. Forced to get a job in your early 40s, with your past experience being in the early 2000s with a huge gap, with no skills (no, the CADD doesn't count; it is irrelevant at this point). with horrible social skills. Chris will be lucky if he gets a job sorting glass. Even he has to talk to some people (without bringing up da merge) every once in a while in that job.

This is what happens when one mainstreams a tard and not hammering home the importance of saving money, and not sexually molesting one's mom.
There's a guy at a Goodwill in Florida who's autistic and extremely fast at sorting Legos from non-Legos. Chris could do that sort of thing. He might find the work beneath him but he could still do it, maybe listen to a podcast about MLP or Sonic to pass the time if that's allowed.

Goodwill doesn't pay enough to live off of from what I've heard, but do they have programs to help disabled people develop job skills. Once you have a job it's a lot easier to get another job even with Chris's problems like the 20 year employment gap. Here's their Central Virginia website.

That's all well and good, but does Chris actually want to work after all two and a half decades?

I'm gonna take a guess and say no, he'd flounder around all over the place, act like a complete buffoon, and cause more problems than it's worth for the organisation that hires him and the customers that have to interact with him.

He's too used to the tugboat to do anything more than he has to.

@Summoned Demon answered this for me. There's no way Chris could work for a Goodwill or Salvation Army without making the customer or his other coworkers uncomfortable. Besides, he's aware that people in those stores know of him, and I believe he took more effort in not gaining employment than finding it; it's like he purposefully sabotages himself by all the sagas he chose to partake in. Plus, he's already used to the tugboat and e-begging.
I’m just saying there are conditions in which Chris would work.
The thing is Chris hates being managed. If you can believe what he did while being hired at Wendy's. Even if someone at Goodwill gave him a job now without a background check, I can guarantee you Chris will still be Chris: getting into arguments with his Manajerk for the littlest of reasons.

Goodwill was one of my first jobs and honestly I don't know if he could do it.

It's not hard or anything, but you have to be able to put so much stock up on a rack and out and so much time. You had to have 80 articles of clothing on one rack...in an hour. Spot free and smelling fresh (always wash at home please).

Lines can get fairly busy and you to be able to price accurately.

Chris might be able to unload stock at the backdoor to a point and cleaning toilets takes no degree but he would have to be able to discern what it keepable and what is not.

I'm not sure he's up to the task.

Chris has never had that type of responsibility in a professional sense or at home (and no, 'pulling weeds' doesn't count). You are right, Chris, with this task load, would short circuit his brain. Plus, I think Chris would take an opportunity to sneak some merch out. If the guy was okay from stealing from his parents, Chris would not give a second thought to stealing from his own workplace.

Goodwill is such a caring, giving place to work for, you are allowed to pick out a few articles of clothing (free) for your employee attire.

BUT.

You cannot shop in Goodwill while you are employed there and yes, his brain would short circuit.

Imo: it's a piece of shit place to work for and they get all their merchandise for free that would have otherwise been thrown away. They will also cut your hours if you are not a star performer.

The return of wheelin’ and dealin’

He would need a job specifically made for unlikable tards. They do exist. Mostly it’s makework (iirc), but as long as Chris is working, that’s something.

I think Ulillillia eventually started working as some sort of property caretaker at an apartment complex. He'd do stuff like vacuum floors and trim hedges. I don't think he was paid much but it was a start, and he was able to move on to other jobs from there.

The next saga starts when Chris is inevitably kicked out on the streets for not getting and keeping a job within 90 days
They can't force a dude on disability to sacrifice it and get a job. That's just not something that happens.

If he gets kicked out it will be for getting rapey.

He was working Walmart for a while, but during the coof, he was upset by either seeing masks on other people or wearing them himself, and got fired for not complying with some mask bullshit. I think they probably were liable for failing to make reasonable accommodations considering his multiple mental conditions, but he didn't sue (he should have).

The Gateway House is only temporary so there's definitely a time limit on how long he can stay there, and if the tugboat isn't enough to make rent somewhere else (if it's even on right now) it's get a job or your ass is out on the streets when your time's up.

Surely the Gateway House didn't agree to "Well, all other residents only have a maximum stay of 6 months, but we don't want to make Chris get a job like everyone else in this program, so he gets to stay for 40 years."

Quick question did Chris ever make a discord server?
To my knowledge I don't think he ever made one or at the very most, he made one after he joined in mid 2018, but didn't want to advertise it as such because he knew it would have attracted dah haters and non-believers, or instead he only accepted certain people to talk to him, most of them would have been enablers.

The user here American Hedgehog might know more about this stuff since he posts up a bunch of chat logs.

He joined numerous discord servers over the years, as you can see here.
