"Meta-irony", "post-irony", and the gross misuse of "ironic". It's born of the stupid "how many layers of irony are you on" meme and has almost 0 connections to what "irony" actually means. Instead people just use it to protect themselves from criticism and any sort of judgement. What's ironic about weak-egos protecting themselves from any possible mockery? Nothing.

In the same vein, "problematic" is born from fragile personalities to target things they don't like. Instead of being staunch in saying something is flatly a problem they give themselves an out with "problematic". As if only some vague quality was wrong with what they dislike rather than the entirety of it. It's a defense mechanism to avoid criticism of their criticism.

To be fair, it's the entirety of this vague language with built-in escape routes every sentence. It's because people walk on egg shells and are themselves also laying out more egg shells to walk on. The time of speaking plainly is over and I'm sure it'll only become more convoluted.

Basically doublespeak. Has a proper meaning, but increasingly used as a superlative form of "okay", with a connotation that one simply should not care about it. Pisses me off because the same word is used both as a compliment and as a dismissal.

Another word that's supposed to mean something, but increasingly departs from its original meaning. Now used in place of "basically" or "essentially" just for emphasis. Pisses me off because they actually treat it as if it's literal, even if straight up unproven or false.

"Ontologically evil"/"It's always morally correct"
If you see this phrase, chances are they're advocating terrorism.
"Punch a transphobe, it's always morally correct."

"Mommy"
I don't have anything against kids, but any adult saying this is pathetic. Just admit that you like big tits, holy fucking shit. Anyone who uses this is 100% a manchild even if they claim to be a woman.

Quite possibly the vaguest term to say that two things have some resemblance, or they invoke a similar emotion, or that it reminded you of that thing.

I kind of understand "ironically" as an adverb, "for the sake of irony" doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well.

I don't think it's a big deal to use faggot as an insult. Telling everybody how much a word upsets you is the opposite of what you should do if you don't want to get your feelings hurt by someone saying it. Nobody cares if you say "sod" or "bugger" any more, they're neutral terms that can be applied to anyone. Faggots could have had this with the word faggot, but then they tarded out like niggers.

I think it's more annoying just that people take slurs as some kind of magic word that automatically causes harm by being uttered. There's a whole hell of a lot of difference between "nigger" being said in a movie by a racist who is supposed to be viewed as an asshole and calling someone "nigger" while hatecriming them and dragging them behind your pickup with a chain.

I've always viewed it as hilarious that Samuel L. Jackson basically gave Quentin Tarantino a permanent N-word pass so he can release the movie with the most utterances of the word "nigger" in history and get away with it. One of my favorite stories about that is Jackson actually had to coach Leonardo DiCaprio into being able to say "nigger" without physically cringing.
