Yeah, as much as visibility helps some people, it definitely hurts others. I despise the fact that cis people around me know how to clock trans people now. Some of them haven’t pointed a finger at me yet, and I feel like it’s only a matter of time

That definitely is a thought I did not have while creating this piece. I had not considered stealth trans peeps. So thank you for making me think. glad it’s on a phallo community. When digitally painting this piece I wanted media that represented me. (Queer, fat, medically transitioning, femme, non-binary) I pretty much never see people who identify in a similar way. I have RFF phalloplasty scheduled in June 2023 and wanted to create a piece that reflects my gender expression. Something to strive for? Idk I hope that made sense

Yeah, people rarely do consider stealth trans people, our need to pass, and the very real dangers that clocking and outing cause. Especially those in more unfavorable environments that seem to grow more and more so each day. You're quite fortunate, I hope things go smoothly.

I understand the message of the art, but, 99% of us are men, if not binary men, so depicting a female-presenting person, with a chest, but also phallo… is very deceiving as to what someone getting phallo may look like. People can look like that, sure. But most of us look like regular men.

I completely understand, though, the pain of seeing this kind of depiction so often and the pain of being affected by how this colors people's assumptions about trans men as being not real men, or some mixed category of non-women. Seeing this for me made me feel dysphoric because I know that people think I, a binary trans man post op, am only ever going to be a person like this depiction- someone who looks (and presumably acts, given the stylistic choices) like a woman, but just happens to have moved their skin around to have different body parts. It hurts that this is what people think of and it hurts that there is SO. LITTLE. representation for this vast majority of average guys who happen to be trans, and that therefore representation like this is what people assume. So, I can have compassion for those who down vote and get upset. It hurts me too. I'm just not going to hate on minorities for it.
