Onyx was the guy maintaining the site but its DSP paying the bills for it and his invision community or whatever isn't dirt cheap either.

As for "dismantling the site" thats as easy as cancelling a subscription, a lot of services have you phone up to cancel and wont allow you to do it over email so maybe that's why its still up and running.

So she'll get about as much dick from him as she did from Phil then? Plus having lived with Phil for years she'll have good experience living with a gay man.

But no matter how you look at this, it can only be seen as an absolute upgrade in every way.

So, there are things people get wrong about Phil. He's not such a bad guy. In fact, having skimmed this thread quite a few times over the years I think you’d get along with him. He’s a chill guy with an edgy sense of humor. He can even be generous to friends. He paid for my food anytime we shared lunch or dinner. When I’d put up a fight about paying my own check he’d go, “Oh fuck off man fuck off.” And pay it.

Phil is not the libcuck some people here think he is. This is a show because of modern politics. The reality is Phil is a republican but understands that he’d lose half is audience admitting it. I’d describe him as early 2000s racist/prejudice. South Park/Newgrounds racist. He thinks hip hop music is awful. Makes a lot of racist jokes. All around is disgusted by gay people. Call trans people trannies. One time he saw a TiL on reddit about HP Lovecraft’s cat called Niggerman. So he spent weeks belting out niggerman the way you would sing figaro in an opera.

His view on women is funny to me. He feels the person paying the lion share of bills shouldn’t be cooking and cleaning. And if you can’t handle that then you need to get your ass to work and pay half. Some can say that’s dickish. Yeah. But it explains a lot of the friction he had with a certain ex. She wasn’t carrying her wait so he got tired of her costing him so much. That’s why he started inserting her so much in content. He wanted her to eventually be a full time streamer and pay bills with streaming money.

Phil isn’t sadistic like some people think. But I will say he is naïve. And no… he is not a character or put on. What you see/hear is what you get. He’s just… Phil. He had a lot of business ideas when I worked with him. He saw AVGN as the competition to the King of Hate thing he had going. Phil looked at James as a non-authentic poser and that his own personality being authentic was enough to carry his content to the next level.

He wanted to eventually have a cast of a minimum of ten content creators producing content. I was one of them before we moved on. He obviously never got to that that creator number. Phil wanted to create a website. He figured he had something to offer that James or the Channel Awesome people could offer. You see Phil is a huge fan of Howard Stern and Attitude Era wrestling. As well as other edgy late 90s-early 2000s stuff. It’s maybe his most eccentric quality that his head never left that space.

Well, Phil had big ideas for the website. I’m laughing now thinking about it. His whole idea was to be the boundary pushing Stern to AVGN’s Conan. He had this idea of something called “the shit list”. Where if a game was on this list you can click a link and it would feature a video of Phil literally shitting on the game. He wanted all the creators to live close and to hang out and eventually film this. Phil wanted everyone to have their own distinct personalities that they could market. Again, stern stuff. His idea was that the content would be so aggressively 18+ that you would eventually need to pay a subscription to access the graphic stuff on the site. Another example of an idea was to pay a stripper to play hard games like Dark Souls as content. He found this idea funny enough to bring it up a lot.

The reason Phil would get so angry in videos is that he was obsessed with getting more content out than anyone else. So he would set these due dates for a game and if he fell behind schedule he would get legit pissed at the game designers lol. That’s why in certain games you can hear a sense of panic in his voice. The ironic thing being this would get him tilted and make things take longer. Playing games with him casually he was a lot more relaxed. It’s kind of sad that you guys didn’t see a more relaxed version of that era of Phil. Before the internet became so sanitized Phil could be a funny guy. I challenge you to go back and watch the infamous Dead Space video and not have a laugh. That’s the side of Phil that I like.

Anyway, all I’m saying is that some of the hate here gets is undeserved. Does he treat some of his viewers/payers shitty? Sure. It’s worth keeping in mind that during my time knowing him Phil was obsessed with his job. It’s basically all he talked or thought about. I think sometimes that chat can get to him because he unironically views it as stepping into his home. Phil is an eccentric dude. But he’s not a terrible person.

Current Phil(post-Connecticut) is an insufferable faggot. At least Phil back then had a charm to his shit like his Lightning Returns Unboxing. What Phil is doing now is atrocious enough that it goes beyond pointing and laughing. There is nothing to laugh at.

The post is believable enough but what does it even change. A lot of that shit is stuff he’s made fun of for here. Like the raging from some invisible schedule we can’t see. What exactly is that meant to dispel? This reads like one of his faggot friends or fans “correcting” the record without bothering to read the thread. No on here is particularly unfair to DSP.

Doesn't sound like DSP at all. Hearing him talk about the AVGN makes him sound like he's one of the few people he looks up to. Though, calling someone who very obviously is playing a character, an inauthentic poser is certainly in DSPs wheelhouse.
