Maybe not to us. But I'd imagine none of the fish have worked above min wage for a significant amount of time or had a better job option available that they could have turned Sam down for. I'd also doubt they understand personal finance - if asked, at least half would probably say $20k is a huge amount of money that would last a long time and is enough to retire on for the next few years.

I mean I get it. Your team is moving mountains since day 3 to get this project back up for like a week and you cant really do anything about it but soak the cost of $30k that was meant to last all month; you finally get everything in order and you find out you have to take a stance on a possible chomo being on your show because everyone knows that you know about it. Jet was the one talking about 'Fish Tank' and hyping it up for months. During the first couple days he was on one of the Twitter spaces saying how he wasn't certain of the idea and thought it wasn't going to work out. Doesn't sound much like it was Sam's idea. Sure he helped Jet execute and seemingly finance it, but the thing is largely Jet's project.

The one damning thing I insist makes this Sam's fault (other than assuming he's on set working; it's his money) is the naive & tone-deaf claim he thought he could ever sell this to a major television network. As if it wouldn't be a shitshow of inexperienced people scrambling to pick up the pieces after Sam or trying to make boring people not boring.
