This dude is totally 100% going to prison for a long time.

You all are trying to screen grab the types of helmets they drew on the Ukrainians and what color they bucket-fill tool'ed the Abrams, but I'm just stuck wondering what the fuck this panel is:

Looks like some Russelovitch Greyrkin shit
Welcome to the subset of the Russian psyche called "insult your enemy in the most cringe way possible". It refers to a skit Zelensky did when he was still a part of the Kvartal 95 troupe, where he played the piano with his dick.
The book's cover says: "Kama Sutra: 500 piano sex positions".

When the dust is settled you need to write a book bro. It will be fascinating. You living in Russia, your brother in Ukraine. Backdropped by the most brutal war of the 21st century played out live on the internet as your countrymen are sent to the slaughter and laughter of thirsting Gods who also perversely delight in the suffering of the people they are fighting against. Your own personal horror played out as a slap fight for meaningless domestic political squabbles in a country you have never been too, but one whose position turn keys the fate of nations on its own mercurial whim.

And the only place you can vent is on a drama forum run by an expatriate international hobo engaged in an eternal war with international transsexuals in government, media and tech. While dodging users on that same forum attempting to get you arrested by the government for venting on the same forum.

I would read that book. Start taking notes.
That's an interesting proposition, though that's a rather dramatic framing of what's ultimately an unremarkable life. Writing something could serve to better organize my thoughts and help make sense of things, I suppose, there's something to this idea.
But no, I don't think I'll be writing any books :V

I guess that it gets this petty because that's what works on the majority, i.e. lowest common denominator. No legitimate political or cultural argument would work quite as well, it's all too complicated to simply catch on.

Of course, it's like calling "Навальный" "Насральный" or shit like that. It's effective but doesn't make it less cringe.

It’s a million times less cringe than when westerners do it. “Demonrats” and “RepubliKKKans” etc.
I'm personally partial to "demonrats", it rolls off the tongue and is a pretty clever wordplay, perfectly fitting people it's attributed to. What all these people miss though, is that anti-people establishment ultimately consists of both. But you know how it goes, divide et impera etc.
Though that's off-topic. Cringe is cringe. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference. The degree is arbitary. The definition's blurred.

Because it's not your native tongue. It's a proven phenomenon, it's why Linus Torvalds liked to swear in English, because he had less emotional connection to words like "fuck" than "vittu" or "Jumalauta".
You're probably right. I find the examples I gave incredibly cringey, but apparently the people here like them.
You do you.

If suffering breeds art, well the Russians have suffering in spades.
It most definitely does, but it's civilized to not be open about it.
Just look at most music that was considered amazing at its release, usually a bunch of 4-5 dudes in their 20-30s, high, severely addicted to some nasty shit, suicidal, ODs, left by girlfriends, mom died with cancer etc.
And this goes back in the past too, Romania's national poet is some dude from the 1850s that had health problems, love problems, nervous breakdowns, caught syphilis, died relatively young, and he wrote with a unique sense of righteous anger and disgust, was a pretty hardcore nationalist and xenophobe even for his age lol. Americans Brits (me dumb) have Edgar Allen Poe and others that are similar.
Sickly, suffering, always angry, dissatisfied, probably poor, in love with some chick that's too retarded to understand you're a genius = great art
Full stomach and safe life = milquetoast statistic inflating person

What happened to the guy that made a very used branch of some github database into malware? I remember hearing about a lawsuit against him but it was questionable if it was real.
I assume you're referring to Brandon Nozaki Miller, aka RIAEvangelist. He released a new version of the widely-used package node-ipc which erased your hard drive if your IP geolocated to Belarus or Russia. I can't find news of any actual consequences for him such as a lawsuit.

Story from Ars Technica:

Here are two archives of the GitHub issue, one before he wiped a lot of it (the title and OP), and one before he deleted it completely:

His GitHub account is still active so he was not banned for this, although no one is likely to trust his software ever again.

The incident has a Wikipedia article:

NB: The name Nozaki is from his Japanese wife. He added her name when they married.

The issue with auto turrets is how do you prevent friendly fire / civilian kills.
I'd assume it's not fully automated and controlled by its AI/whatever, but rather remote controlled. Lets you shoot without sticking your head out.

Also, I don't see any controllers in the video, but I'd assume the cables sticking out might be for that purpose

Ukrainians already have Stugna-ATGMs in use which works with similar principle.

edit.
Me write no good.
