I wonder if May really let him have it. Vacuous e-whore that she is, we know from her relationship with Digibro that she's at least willful enough to troon somebody out. Ralph's Tweet announcing the split sounded like he was too shocked to think of some face-saving narrative, so I do think that she blew up and chewed him out over the phone. It's easy to ignore Internet people, it's another to have two mothers of your children tell you you're a piece of shit and walking away. It's like passing out drunk on the street - the first time you can hand wave it away as a one-off incident that doesn't define - the second time, you can't help but think...maybe it's me?

No, she is incapable of standing up to Ralph in person. This is why she had to wait until he was gone for the week to finally get the courage to leave. I’d say she didn’t have the spine, but it is dangerous for women to leave abusive men so her waiting till he was out of the country was the safest option for her and Rozy.

If Ralph was there he would have hollered at her to stfu and get back in the house and she would have complied. Or he might have grabbed the baby, locked her out of the house and threatened to kill himself. Given the level of alcohol and drug use going on I don’t think announcing her departure to Ralph’s face would have been a safe or wise option.

Ralph got with May was because she was eager to be subservient and was easy to bully. Getting her to play along with the gross find a man to “make me trad” roleplay was pretty much volunteering to be Ralph’s abuse victim. If she complained about his hollering, emotional/ financial abuse, not lifting a finger to help with the baby or clean the filth then he could point out what failed AF trad woman she was.

Harry did a heartfelt, open letter to May that made it clear that family knows Ralph is abusive and controlling. They know all kinds of shit we don’t about the situation. But what we have seen makes it perfectly clear that Ralph abused her. There is no mistaking the genuine fear and egg shell walking she does when on stream with Ralph. Ralph forcing May to publicly apologize to him about not paying the electric bill or upload a video taking all responsibility for Faith’s diary is classic domestic abuse shit,

I don’t like May and she absolutely chose and fought to be Ralph’s #1 abuse victim after she gleefully participated in helping Ralph manipulate and abuse a teenager. All that aside i have zero doubt she endured a lot of super fucked abuse by Ralph during the last two years and she and Rozy were in legit danger the last five months.

Dick might be telling him that "getting sober" is a good strategic move vis-a-vis either getting Meigh to return or to set up for being able to see his child or to register yet another incredible Ralphawin, but he seems clearly agnostic about whether it's good goal in itself and whether he cares about a "friend" finding a better way of life.

In any case, if he's as far gone as repeatedly nodding out on camera would suggest, actual sobriety is unlikely, as you say. And at whatever level of addiction or overuse or using substances as a crutch, getting truly sober will only happen if the user himself is demanding and committed to it.

Anyone who thinks that anything Ralph does right now has any seriousness or lasting power, or should be considered as anything other than panic and desperation, is a fool. That includes Ralph believing any of that about himself.

Equally foolish is believing that Ralph only needs to get sober for things to be okay or for him to be a quality partner and parent.
