No. Not at all.

Both parents have to sign the application to get a passport for a child, but once the child has a passport that’s all they need to travel internationally, with mom, or grandma or aunt Matilda. The airlines aren’t going to interrogate everyone traveling with kids if they have two parents and if both have approved the trip. Kids just need a valid passport to travel like everyone else. Only getting a passport requires the sign off from both parents.
Not correct. You must have a letter of permission from the other parent (if you have sole custody, you can just carry a copy of the relevant order). Ideally, the letter should be notarized.

This also applies to kids traveling with non-family or non-parents.

And ^ is US law; other countries may of course have their own versions of requirements.

In practice, border officers seem to exercise some judgment about how you come across and don't always want to see it even if you offer it up. But it's not the kind of thing you want to be caught without if needed.

The first part of your link is general about non-Americans with kids traveling to the USA.

The second part is for Americans traveling to other countries and says you “may be asked” to show such documents and “consider” taking a permission slip from the other parent. Pretty vague shit because customs are different for every country.

Pantsu had no problem crossing back into the USA with Rozy. She’s an American citizen returning to home with her American citizen child. The worry is generally people leaving their home country with a child, not returning to it.

I’ve traveled internationally solo with my kids. Never been asked to show anything besides their passport. I think they’ve asked if I was their mother and answering yes seemed to be all they needed to hear on the subject.

Oh, dammit on the page if it's the wrong audience - was moving fast. Glanced again and still don't see "this is for non-US people only," but it doesn't matter / the answer is the same either way. Here's something pointed at US citizens:

I am sure it's on the Passport Agency page as well, but this came up earlier in the results, so that's what I'm going with.

It is a requirement, but as I said, it's not conducted like a rigid passport screen. Clearly discretion is involved. It can be demanded, and you can get turned away from crossing a border. Different countries care more or less, and logically it would be on leaving your home country that there would be the greater concern, but many will require it on entry. The Canucks can be stickers about it, at least over land, and their language is stronger than the US's, too: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1022&top=16. The Netherlands wants multiple docs. And on.

Tl;dr: there's some level of risk in not having it.

He could always join the Wagner Group.
Then Ralph would need to renounce his Murican citizenship that his father gave him.

Ralph’s so transparent with his sobering up act. If Meigh still had a phone I bet Ralph has already done the full spectrum of guilting her and showing he’s serious about changing after just a day of being sober sorry tapering sorry I mean not drunkenly slurring and zonking out on stream.

Don’t know why because Ralph and Meigh seemed miserable together. My guess is Ralph is just not looking forward to being alone, took a huge L, and lost his mommy figure who fed him ice cream.

Ralph is all about outward projection, as lack luster as that is with him he has a compulsive need to flex on others to big himself up, he's an extremely insecure and pathetic individual and he needs his 'wife' to flex on the overwhelmingly single and likely involuntarily celibate audience.

Yes, the horse is absolutely stupid enough to go back to him. But apparently Mexico was too much for her?
Ralph has claimed it will be a "few months" before they get back together, but I'm guessing her conditions would be to move to the US and quit the pills. Although I can see her being dumb enough to go back to him, I cannot see Ralph ever managing to clear those two conditions.
He's been bragging for months how he will never go back to America, and everyone knows how well "sober spring" went.

Let's see though, those two absolutely deserve each other, if only the horse could leave the baby with her family, then no one would give a shit about them getting back together.

That's literally why. He went from living his entire life as a leech on his dying mom to directly with Meigh. He's almost 40 and he's only been "on his own" for not even 3 years. In those 3 years he has ruined 2 marriages, ruined 4 relationships, made 2 single mothers, racked up 100k+ in debt, is in danger of having his car repo'd, couldn't afford to pay his last 3 months rent, and fled the country to live in squalor on the cheap. He also couldn't get his vehicle or his apartment without Amanda/Harry. With no Mommy there it's just him, trash mountain, and kiwifarms.

Has it even occurred to the two of them that his substance abuse spiraled once they were married? And if he’s able to get sober without her, (lol) that should be a huge fucking clue?
I’m only semi-joking when I say Ralph’s life nosedived when Mantsu ran Faith off. As did hers. They are horrible for each other. Take heed, Mantsu. You’ve made one good choice, stick to it.
