Every part of American history we focused on how this affected women, indians, and blacks, and how racist white people are.
That's how all of my history classes were. I failed or dropped them. Failed because I wasn't writing pages on retarded nigger shit like how the ancient Greeks viewed and treated all women because of how they treated Cassandra of Troy and you can only use these cringe ass sources I provide.
Turns out using archeological finds about commoner life get's you a big fat F and a referral to the Dean even if you're using big name pozzed sources for your paper (conform or die)
Academia isn't worth it to me tbh. Maybe when everyone totally floods trades and the Social Justice puritans decide to go there because that's where all the people, who need to hear the good word of our lord & savior the government(which is ran by evil nazis and fascists they say), are.

They set the precedence that the government provides. When the boomers die, their kids will demand more, and they will have a legal argument when you try to take their gibs. I cant remember if it was a Roman or a Greek that said a democracy will fail once the voting populous realizes they can vote to keep the money printers turned on.
It was a French aristocrat, Alexis de Tocqueville, who said it in his work, "Democracy in America". Written nearly 200 years ago, but still damn prescient.

The only time so far in the 21st century an incumbent party made gains in the midterms was in 2002 when everyone was gearing up for Iraq. Just barely ekeing out a slim majority in the House without gaining the Senate is not much of a victory. At least Kevin McCarthy will be able to play pretend to be powerful for a couple years. He’ll be able to land some sweet K Street gigs.

Has there been any actual evidence of this pendulum existing? Because it’s only been going one way since 1945 and you can probably argue 1913 or 1933 as well. Conservatives believe the idea of invisible forces that are going to save them, much like liberals believe in invisible forces that oppress them.

I agree but demographics don’t allow it. Only one demographic group is a net contributor and they happen to be the ones who are actively being reduced. Furthermore all those other demographics are promised even more social spending. The flow of gibs have to keep going or else what we saw with the 2020 Summer of Love will be child’s play.

I think America in current year plus eight is a bust out state. The last bits of wealth are being sucked away so America is a shriveled husk. Then when there’s no choice but to default, any shreds of rights will get turned over to the banks and other private interests. The Sopranos covered this pretty well. Tony and other gangsters are how banks currently treat Weimerica.

The Dems lost the popular vote in the midterms and spent 16x as much money to retain the senate. 2 of those seats are filled by barely alive corpses and to achieve that they still had to cheat to an absurd degree. Then on top of that Republicans have significantly more control over the local Governments which argubably matters more.

The pendulum crap is stupid to begin with because it's really just globalism vs everyone else and globalism is dying. There is pushback to this shit the news media just refuses to report on it.

If US defaults or banks continue to fail guess what? They lose the only thing that gave them power in the first place. So in the end they self-immolating.

I'm not even being that optimistic, I'm just choosing not to ignore the positive and real changes good sane people have fought tooth and nail for insteading of just giving up.

Pretty much this, the reason why it seems so hopeless for many its because
1 - The globohomo media is obviously not going to report on shit that makes them look bad and...
2 - They rig any and all polls, even the ones that show them in an unfavorable light they tamper with them so the difference is as small as possible without being un-belivable
As they say
"If it was hopeless their propaganda would be unnecesary"

Earn It effectively makes Section 230 something you earn by obeying an unelected council of government boomers. Evil. Everyone signing it belongs in a Nuremberg trial.

Wow, Null graces us, the unwashed of the Biden thread, with his presence. Praise from Caesar.

(im not being sarcastic btw)

The EARN IT Act (S. 3538) is proposed legislation first introduced in 2020 in the United States Congress. It aims to amend Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934, which allows operators of websites to remove user-posted content that they deem inappropriate, and provides them with immunity from civil lawsuits related to such posting. Section 230 is the only surviving portion of the Communications Decency Act, passed in 1996.

A number of events in the 2010s led lawmakers to question the legal freedom that website operators have, and among other legislation options, the EARN IT Act was proposed to alter Section 230's protections and put more responsibility on website operators. While it initially failed to pass in 2020, it was reintroduced in 2022.

Not only have I never seen this pendulum, but any time the right has been on the cusp of action, the leadership have always said, "Don't get all riled up! Now's not the time! This isn't the hill to die on! Eventually, the pendulum will swing the other way!"

It seems like conservatism is just a belief that in politics, invisible forces will eventually give you everything you want, so you never actually need to do anything, ever, at all.

The pendulum does exist and you guys are being stupid and blackpilled. You are letting current political views get in the way of looking back to previous political views and paradigms.

In the subject of American politics, the 2 big shows of the pendulum swinging to the right in recent history are Nixon in 68 (with a small swing and then in 72 holding against hard pressure to swing back), then pendulum got unlocked by CIA niggers and Carter rode it to the left. And in 1980 you had the hard shift right with Reagan after the hell that was the 1970's massive push left.

People straight up don't remember, because in part there has been a lot of work by "academics" to rewrite and hide, but the 1970's saw a insane push towards left wing shit quite in line with modern progressive shit. NAMBlA was a big thing then, so was pushes for pornography and more promiscuity. There were literal commie guerrilas going around, doing double digits of bombings on a belief the Revolution was RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER GUYS!!! You even had places who tried and ignore the War on Drugs Nixon started to go for "legalization" and try and white wash it, which is how NYC ended up with a clinic funded by the city that gave people drugs and was pretty much a legalized heroin and cocaine den.

Thanks to developments in technology, infiltration of major institutions, and research into propaganda, The grip of the people in power on the "pendulum", becomes ever tighter.

Let's take for example. George Floyd. A man that overdosed in police custody. He should have been simply a statistic of the 100,000 people per year that die due to overdoses.

However, the media and corporations were able to whip the public into such a frenzy over such a mundane occurrence, that they were able to provoke riots, George Floyd religious icons, a golden casket and millions in donations.

You might think most of the people in power are incompetent. But it doesn't matter. They control almost everything. The system will cover for them if they fuck up.

I think the "infiltration of major institutions" is the big one here. The media pretty much went on it as one single entity, marching in lockstep with the propaganda take to push Saint Floyd of Fentanyl. No one in the big media names dared slander his name with truth or even doubt.

Even earlier than that. Remember Trayvon Martin, who "just wanted to buy some Skittles"? Or Michael Brown, who was "a good college-bound boy who dindu nuffin"? And hey, what a neat little coinky-dink, 2 of them happened during election years (2012 and 2020). Who's going to be the lib-bait nog for 2024, I wonder?

People somehow still don't understand the concepts of a manufactured consensus and consensus cracking.

They can manufacture any "public opinion" they want. That's how we got to the point that the amount of people defending trannies in sports (or in general) being perceived by brilliant minds such as Rogan, as "half the country". I'm being sarcastic when I call Rogan brilliant, if that wasn't obvious.

Operation mockingbird never ended. Or, the drive behind it's creation, at least. No pendulum is going to be swinging anytime soon until the moment that people en masse recognize just how much of public opinion and culture, really, have been more or less manufactured for the last fifty-ish years, or longer.

Even those institutions themselves stand as good examples of the pendulum swing - They went full ideological capture in the major media institutions. And then the pendulum did its swinging, and their efforts to resist it with their power only worked for a time, and its cost them everything.

Its good that its been pointed out that the pendulum isn't some magical force that will just give you what you want - But the pendulum is a real, genuine thing beyond this abstract description. Its an abstraction to describe the fact that nothing is perfect and people are susceptible to the believe that the grass is greener on the other side. As one half of the political divide pushes their momentum towards their hardline endgame, shit gets wonky and people start to really want the other side, and pursue it passively in their lives. This cultural shift and yearning of people wanting to get away from the crazy is the pendulum. Which is also why its unstoppable, for both sides - Let the right go full /pol/ long enough and you'd see pushes for mass deportation and deracialization of everything, which sounds great now but would probably cause some serious instability in the actual moment, making people long for the lefty brand of crazy again.

The entire culture war has just been the left being aware of this, and trying to mindfuck people into ignoring what seems to very much be a modern social instinct in conservatism - Not right/left conservatism, but the feeling of "This has gone too far we maybe should go back and try something else" as one side takes the initiative over the other.

Also worth noting is that it's "swing" is predictable and thus controllable given certain components being taken into account, such as common incuriosity and laziness. Gay marriage is a hell of an example of that, most people don't know that it wasn't legislation that made that decision.
Apparantly the US Navy is using Drag Queens to try and attract young people to join

An article I read a long-ass time back on here about the military whining that having to recruit mostly from the same dozen and a half or so counties was terrible has made more and more sense to me as things have continued to rattle on in this political clusterfuck of an environment.

They really can't make any moves to reverse course and try to get their main demographic for recruitment back on board.

Pretty much. They don't understand it doesn't matter how much public backlash there is if the Powers that Be are determined to push shit. The point isn't to convince you or to report on what people think or have a discussion, it is to gaslight you into agreement and into acceptance.

Look at the USSR for example. Despite the massive issues the "pendulum" there was kept firmly in place until it eventually broke free.

This is why it is important to not fall for the propaganda. To not stop calling out the retarded shit for the retarded shit it is. To insist that no, I am not gonna let drag queens in the school. No I am not gonna "compromise" and let the drag queens into high school. No I am not gonna give your "studies" and "experts" the time of the day, you are all frauds who rely on intense and constant maintenance by manufactured consent to be relevant.

This is why shit like "Let's go Brandon" caused so much butthurt, it cracks the façade of legitimacy and the illusion of consensus. It's why they are terrified of "hate speech" online and why there is so much hate that Elon is not banning people on twitter. It's why Tucker needed o go and why they think him being gone means Ukrainian War will get more "popular support" now.

Probably Ralph Yarl since he "miraculously" survived being shot in the head for "ringing a doorbell". Funny how not much new information has come out on that incident 🤔

Nah they will have a new one show up around June or July 2024, they have no need to recycle old news.

Yes, continue to double down on the reasons why people aren't joining. I'm sure that'll work.

Its even funnier when you think out the further consequences of this.

Imagine in your mind the kind of person who would not join the navy, then see's a navy drag queen, and decides "Hell yea this is actually the service for me I'm enlisting right now!". And then take that special brand of fucked up person, and put them on shore leave in a Southeast Asian nation. Your going to see oversexed dumbfucks bringing ladyboy and underage prostitutes onto navy warships so that they can livestream their orgy to their Onlyfans. And thats assuming the engagements are consensual, which I wouldn't presume by default for this particular brand of deranged fuck.

And don't even get me started on trying to keep these kinds of people in control when they're facing down the alarms for an incoming Anti-Ship missile in a possible hot conflict. The kind of person letting their life be lead by their dicks and their fetishes is not the kind who'll stand and fight to try and protect the rest of the crew in that situation.
