>both reuse assets of their predecesor to minimize work load and explore creative potential

I'm undecided if there is actually a dungeon hidden in the depths, I haven't found one. Hyrule castle is counted by the game as a dungeon, but its just an enemy gauntlet and filled with OP gear. There is something afterwards and probably the 6th dungeon gotta find the 5th sage who looks like something an extremely horny furry would design, I was hoping finishing the castle would lead to the big twist that was hidden away all this time but it seems not.

Edit: there is not a dungeon in the depths, it's the zonai ruins from botw the lorefags sperged over, actually technically the goron dungeon is in the depths

Is the theme for Hyrule Castle the same as in BotW? I liked that theme, probably the only memorable part of the soundtrack for me.
Edit: (@LMlurker can't quote you while editing my comment) lol I knew it, get wrecked twattertards sayibg Link was asexual or some shit, also your pfp made the comment hilarious

sounded the same, but its been a while

Also regarding the house building. You buy the parts (its the stupid cube things from tarrey town) and then literally assemble it with the ultra hand. I don't think there is a build-a-village quest, or I haven't found it yet

The hero's path and travel medallion are part of the new shieka slate thing, I just hadn't done the quest to upgrade it yet. Still no master mode, unless that gets unlocked from beating the game.

Think of it like using a limited set of puppets to tell different stories, example:
Romani (MM) and Malon (OoT) are the same model, both are girls the age of young link that work in their family ranch, but their context and stories are completely different, same goes for everything else. the only models that wheren't re-used where plot related ones (zelda/sheik, sages, ganondorf).
I believe TotK attempted something similar but it didn't scrap enough of BotW story to make sense, leaving this weird empty sense of discountinuity and retcons and making the Zonai feel like they appeared out of nowhere in the time skip between BotW and TotK
You don't need to play OoT to apreciate MM, but it seems TotK is expecting you to know what happened in BotW to get the story started and yet at the same time it keeps sweeping its predecesor under the rug for some reason

There appears to be a mandatory health gate to the last dungeon. They are forcing me to do shrines and I hate it.

I am now scouring the activated shrines for blessing ones

Since I'm actually poking my head in the shrines now (I didn't do any other than the first 4 that are mandatory, I hated shrines in botw and the game is easy so I don't need the health or stamina upgrades), the shrines are now much more locked down, the exits enclosed entirely. Seems they don't want people doing funny glitches to skip them.
