You know how some people can eat cilantro and think it's fine, and other ones claim it tastes like soap? I think there's some pre-existing condition that allows a person to see anime, and think it's like a thing they'd want to pursue and watch. They do not understand how it affect normal, non habituated people.

That said maybe he could watch something like one punch man or mob psycho because they walk the line between deliberately dumb and serious, it's got an interesting art direction, and there's a minimum of waifuism. That might be most tolerable to the average viewer.

Really i've just seen it as a challenge. He put requirments out, i want to see if anything can actually meet them. And now that's two points for OPM. But yes I agree, some people are more inclined to anime than others. The running theroy of mine is that 8chan fucked his perception of anime.

Honestly, anything that I would recommend to someone that doesn't watch anime and wants to see something good (In my opinion). The following are the ones that I remember watching and haven't seen mentioned above.

1- Death Note.
2- Kaiji ultimate survivor.
3- Parasite.
4- Monster.
5- Cyberpunk.
6- Dr Stone.
7- Golden Kamuy (If you can get past the very homoerotic scenes).
8- Drifters (It has Hitler in it).

I know that some of these have nudity. But, if I remember correctly, it was mostly done in a tasteful way like some conventional TV shows. Not in the anime way of "oops, I fell down some stairs and my crotch landed straight in your face bland-protagonist-kun". I genuinely despise that stuff but I can look past it sometimes if the series is good enough.
