Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

Someone already mentioned in this thread that Bam is skateboarding’s Chris Chan because they both have key moments in their lives where their parents should have told them no but they didn’t.

My point is that he was probably pretty sad when his friend died but his ego took the bigger hit because his entire life he’s never been told no. Growing up they told him he was special and could do no wrong. Then in high school everyone thought he was a loser so he dropped out, and when he made it big he stayed in his hometown to rub it in their faces. He didn’t even do that right either, with the money he was pulling in at the height of his career he could’ve bought up enough properties in his town to effectively control it.

Shit, even if he wanted to du drugs he had the kind of money to run the trade in his area but he didn’t.

Then during his CKY days he had Jenn Rivell to keep him anchored to reality and when he fucked that up he was able to claim the win by rebounding straight into Jessica Simpson’s pussy and until Dunn’s death he was able to bribe his way into or out of anything he could desire. Dunn dying definitely hurt but I think it’s the fact that he couldn’t bargain his way out of it hurt more. This was the first time he was told no and he couldn’t do shit about it.

How can anyone think Ryan Dunn's death caused anything? The "downfall" starts with this picture. Between age 19 and 23 he seems to have aged ten years. He looks like a completely different person in the gif - I have actually never even seen another picture of this man where he looks healthy.
He was the kind of dude chicks used to call "dreamy" and now he looks like a homeless meth addict. Which he basically is if you subtract the money.

I'll give him credit, at least someone taught him a little trigger discipline.

I figure you're being sarcastic, but actually having a hobby/sport besides drinking, drugs, and wandering streets that takes some discipline (as long as he's sober long enough) like shooting is probably a good idea. I've long witnessed that if you have an addictive personality you need to find things to do sober that are at least as fun as doing nothing while wasted.

yeah substituting an addiction that is very actively killing you for an addiction that just kills your wallet is a pretty normal transition

I figure he's beyond help. I'm not saying getting a hobby would cure him, but it might help. Nothing is normal about this guy. I don't really dislike him or anything, it's just frustrating to see a guy born with such a golden horseshoe up his ass endlessly wreck. I'm sure he can afford a few thousand on guns and ammo at this point. Or golf if he preferred. Shooting may be a bit more hardcore or thrill than bowling, that's all I'm suggesting.

Bam is claiming his marriage to Nikki isn't legally binding

Boyd and I have never been married, legally or otherwise. To my knowledge, Boyd has never legally changed her name in any state to 'Nicole Margera.' Every driver's license or other form of identification I have seen Boyd possess bears the name 'Nicole Boyd'

As an initial matter, it was not until just recently that Nikki had ever heard Bam’s claim that they were never married. She was told that the wedding would occur in Iceland and that it was all taken care of. She had a wedding ceremony, and then returned to the U.S. and lived like a married couple with Bam for years.

His marriage would still be considered "common-law marriage," but that's used more for tax purposes. If they're not officially married the only thing Nikki could get him for is child support.

Like probably immediately before that pic.

What jumps out to me is how ridiculous it is for him to even hold that. The scope looks like a 56mm with a shade, so 6x - 25x, and I’d bet that he can’t keep his hands still enough to get a sight picture of anything smaller than a skyscraper.

iirc Common Law Marriage (like most things family law) varies heavily from state to state

Someone with his temper issues really shouldn't have guns around. Maybe if he were totally sober for years, but all buying guns would do for him would turn him from an angry, violent drunk to an angry, violent drunk with guns.

Even in the few states where it exists, the couple generally has to hold themselves out as married, not just living in sin.

Well, he's certainly low on the list of whom I'd trust with one. But maybe just at a range and supervised or something. Then again he could be like that guy that shot the American Sniper guy and frag everyone he can too.
