About the Tranch stuff, there are some interesting tidbits there. Kevin having a new boyfriend living at the house explains the mystery troon who appeared in a couple Patreon videos recently. I'm also becoming more and more certain that Fedposter J is gone... still haven't spotted him in any of the Patreon vids, and yet this new troon was spotted very quickly.

I had completely forgotten about the VICE thing! It was a collaboration with a black transwoman named Eva Reign. It was filmed last August and was supposed to come out sometime this year... but yeah, VICE is bankrupt.

ETA: Eva Reign appears to be a somewhat high profile transsexual, having a large following on Instagram, is a tran issues reporter for Vice and is also appearing in a film or TV series.

There's also an interesting twitter troll to check out. They're likely connected to Westcliffe's conservative newspaper, the Sangre de Cristo Sentinel. Seems like the Tranchers were tangentially involved in some small-town drama... see the overview I wrote here.

Just to add on, I scrolled back a year on Jarrod's new boyfriend's twitter. I think I've got some of the same hits but was screenshotting the more interesting insanity

Summary

• Date of birth 03/12/1996 (this is not a new twitter account)
• BPD (of course) plus some sort of chronic health condition that involves seizures and migranes (really hitting all the Kindness marks) also cuts self a bunch and posts photos
• Claims to larp as a dog quite frequently, walking around with ears and a tail and barking spontaneously (also claims that pretending to be a dog is how he processes all his trauma)
• Appears to have been living in a "household of trans girls making a living in Denver" having moved to Colorado to transition (?!) in about 2019 - I found the "matriarch" account so there's obviously been another weird trans cult power dynamic going on there
• Was apparently in a polycule with two other troons, one of whom was considering marriage and possible was briefly married to
• This blew up spectacularly several times as is to be expected of a polycule containing a BPD tranny
• Household of trans girls apparently kicked him out at some point
• Jarrod seems new on the scene and they appear to have been dating for a few months. They did go on a date to see Cocaine Bear at the start of March, (and then watched some tranny called "Rachel Fish" who appears to be running another tranny ranch cult - seriously what is going on in Colorado) and then at the start of April they still weren't living together because he had to cancel a trip to see Jarrod. The rest of the polycule appears to have cut off "Jezebel" at this point.

In other news, it sounds like the weird twitter troll following around Jordan Hedberg is basically confirmed to be George Gramlich of Westcliffe's Sangre de Cristo Sentinel. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read these posts for context: [1] [2] [3]

Gramlich more-or-less accuses Hedberg of enabling the Tranchers' crimes by always defending them and never being critical of the Tranchers' lies. Gramlich says 90% of the Tranchers' alpacas died of neglect.
He doesn't source that statement and strangely hasn't published an article in his newspaper about it, so I'm guessing he doesn't have solid proof. Maybe he's just working off of Bonnie's mass grave tweets? But I still think it's notable since Gramlich is a local and has deep community ties... if the Tranchers successfully rehomed the alpacas (& other animals), they would most likely have done so locally, which would mean that Gramlich would've certainly heard about it. Remember that the Tranchers were broke and fled the Tranch in a hurry; it seems unlikely that they had the money or time to transport ~200 animals too far away.

So it's not just a meme... the chances are scarily high that the alpacas really did die.

He retreated to the (IMO cowardly) position of "the unicorns had a right to be here", "I defended their right to be here". I think Hedberg knows or believes that the alpacas are dead as well, so he's choosing to defend himself by claiming that he just took a principled stance and was trying to give the Tranchers a fair chance at living in the community (unspoken: even though it ended in disaster).

I am not sure it’s fair to put Hedberg on the spot for shit the Tranchers did, there’s nothing to say he knew about Alpaca Death Pits etc and covered it up, he probably just offered them a bit of solidarity due to his politics.
If you just followed their Twitter and maybe visited once on a sunny day you’d be non the wiser about any drama.

I doubt George actually knows anything either - it does seem like he’s just sourcing what he says from this thread and the Bonnie one, and he’s not really distinguishing between things known to be fact and where we’re making guesses in a lack of information (like: where did the bulk of the alpaca go at the end).

George could have done some investigative journalism and, y’know, actually flown drones over or interviewed the wolf sanctuary or whatever, but he prefers to be a blowhard troll.

Notice how it mentioned "RVFF" - that stands for Rainbow Visions Film Festival. Basically it seems like it was a standalone film festival at one point but it's now tacked on to North West Fest. RVFF apparently ran 12-14 May.
The films submitted were:

• Bad Girl Boogey: A debut horror film from a 17 year old Australian trans woman. It looks very bad.
• Commitment to Life: A documentary about the AIDS Project Los Angeles
• The Doom Generation: A 1995 film that's kinda like a bisexual Natural Born Killers
• Conversion: A documentary interviewing five people from Kentucky who'd been subjected to gay conversion therapy
• 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture: aforementioned Bible documentary
• We Are Tenacious
• Long Live My Happy Head: Documentary about gay cartoonist dying of a brain tumour
• Lebanese Burger Mafia: Documentary about Canadian burger chain run by Lebanese migrants
• Blue Jean: Film about lesbian PE teacher during Section 28
• But I'm A Cheerleader: A comedy from 1999 about gay conversion therapy
• The Empress of Vancouver: A documentary about an elderly Canadian drag queen reflecting on her life

As it happens, I recognise some of these from the British Film Institute's Flare Festival, so they're touring the film festival junket. Anyway, The Doom Generation and But I'm A Cheerleader can be discounted as they're old crowd pleasers, Lebanese Burger Mafia is part of their "crossover" and is not LGBT (and it won separate awards) and Long Live My Happy Head is tenuously LGBT (it's about a gay guy and it does touch on his long distance boyfriend, but it's really about him using art to cope with an inoperable brain tumour).

So Ash came third out of seven, which isn't bad. Although it's a bit of a stacked deck since a Canadian audience are unlikely to respond as much to something about Section 28, Conversion seems to mostly just be straight interviews with conversion therapy survivors and a spun out version of a previous short from 2018, and Bad Girl Boogey was definitely made by a 17 year old. So if we're uncharitable it came three out of four, but that is a bit of a stretch. Perhaps it got a bit of name recognition from the audience and idk, maybe Ash was able to shoot some really beautiful footage of austere Colorado horizons and got really artistic and metaphorical in place of having actual narrative.

"Ash Kreis" (new surname?) was also interviewed for "Moving Radio" on CJSR-FM community radio after the screening. Unfortunately they don't seem to upload recordings so the only outcome appears to be this shit-tier photo.


This was the worldwide premiere for We Are Tenacious but it is being screened in two days at the Mountainfilm Festival (in Telluride, CO) and then at the Lighthouse International Film Festival in a fortnight (Long Beach, NJ) so perhaps some reviews will be forthcoming. If we're lucky then MUBI might pick it up like they did with Ash's furry documentary. It would be very funny if the Tranch went to the film festival in Colorado but it seems to be in the middle of nowhere on the other side of the state so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Looks like the main Tranch storyline is fizzling out rather pathetically. The local police made a note of Fat Paul's complaint and told him to go do one. If only he'd made an effort to be more community minded they might have bothered. I guess filming yourself driving past a local cafe with a "Blue Lives Matter" sign outside and laughing as you say "We never go in there" does have consequences.
