i mean it's literally a joke they made decades ago on father ted, the story of fire saga with will ferrell came out less than 10 years ago with the same exact idea for a plot. there's no way a country would really try it would they?

Apparently there’s a company called “Telly” releasing the “Telly TV” for “free”
The Telly TV announced today (and rumored to be en route since earlier this month) is a 55-inch 4K HDR TV with a five-driver soundbar connecting a second screen called the Smart Screen. The smaller Smart Screen is dedicated to showing ads and can also show relevant content, like news feeds from selected publications, weather, or scores from favorite sports teams.

The cost of “free”​

To be clear, Telly is upfront about its approach, with today's press release stating that the TV aims to "revolutionize the industry's business model by enabling advertisers to fully subsidize the cost of the TV itself for the consumer and deliver it completely for free."
But the type of information you have to provide Telly—from the responses to the survey you must take on their mobile app you must download to reserve one of the 500,000 Tellys expected to ship this summer, to viewing and activity-tracking once you have the TV—are the type of data sets a company ought to pay you for. A TV that's generously said to be worth about $500 and includes a secondary, if not distracting, screen directly south of it doesn't feel sufficient.

Telly's Smart Screen can show ads on its right side or "in the form of a sponsored news feed on the left side of the screen," The Verge reported.

Even worse, Telly can show ads on both screens at any time, even if you're not using the TV, basically turning the heart of your living room into a billboard. From ArsTechnica

It’s basically a digital billboard in your fucking House. They already have a lot of people that want a Telly in their living room.

Ironically, the only situation of the past year I can think of where the black guy was decidedly and with video evidence:
  1. Not armed
  2. Being stopped under false pretenses (even the police department admitted this)
  3. Trying to flee for his life
was a bunch of black cops that (for reasons still not discovered or declared) beat the guy to death.

Every LOLCow thread has A-Logs who take the most negative interpretation of everything and spin up big theories from that. Nothing unusual about the Rekieta thread in that regard.

He presented himself as a based conservative Christian homeschooling Dad, and was strongly condemning others relative to that. Then in private he was very flexible and open minded and wants others to be open minded with his shit where he was less so with others. Rekieta projected a false image of himself and does not like the record of his real image. That's his real issue with the thread.

I'm not defending or condoning Rekieta. I'm saying that's my interpretation of his spiel and some of the parts that he seemed to mention but not elaborate on in fear of naming names. It was a bad idea and I also realise the turn on him comes from people feeling he's changed from based conservative Christian to coomer.
Also, the only thing worse than no spacing is reddit spacing.

Hey @Null, if you are looking to give the audience both a laugh and high blood pressure I recommend this video where a member of the Seattle Continuum of Care Board defend a serial pedophile rapist from both his crimes against children and him being sexually abusive towards a disabled female veteran.

After being defunded Big 'Tism swooped in to fill the funding gap and has taken over the police. That or after Covid and the summer of love the only people who still like the police are autists who don't know any better but to follow what's told to them.
