The real reason Rekieta is pissed with Kiwi Farms is because in his thread(s), it has been accurately documented all the idiotic oversharing of his sexual peccadilloes that he kept forcing people to endure. That is why he won't name the so called cow touchers, because there aren't any now.

Also Rekieta's lies of never presenting himself as a trad-dad has been recorded here too.

Rekieta's slimy tactic was to accuse people of being incels and prudes, when in fact people didn't care what he got up to in his private life, they just didn't want to hear about it on every fucking stream.

I know precisely fuck-all about DDoS prevention/mitigation, but I'd imagine the last thing you'd want to do is have any facade on top of your site actually return any valid result promptly. The DDoS client presumably fires off a bunch of requests, which you'd want to avoid processing, but not immediately outright provide a result for, as then the client can acknowledge this and continue to spam. So, you'd want to keep the HTTP connection live but only drip-feed a "fuck you" result to it. I don't think throttling results like this is something that most CGI interfaces provide. Having said all that, this may lead to a shit-ton of open connections, which (at the network level) might be worse than connection open/close requests - though with the sockets for short-lived connections sitting unavailable in TIME_WAIT, it's not immediately obvious which is worse, even with appropriate kernel config and SO_LINGER settings. [*]

You'd want more shit on top of this. Trying to automatically detect attacks and then update lower-level filtering rules for example.

As I say: I know fuck all about this. There could be many other reasons, and the above could be wrong in many ways all at once. But needing a plugin/module to get around the limits of a standard CGI interface seems highly likely.


Edit: [*] keen fellow autists of coding should realise that SO_LINGER doesn't do all that much and you need SO_REUSEADDR on fresh sockets to avoid the long-lived, careful TCP shutdown that can rob you of precious sockets/file descriptors.

Yeah that's probably true. Certainly the whole idea of "gunt guarding" became a common criticism for people in the sektur like Nick, Dick and even Jim, although as we now know Rackets' gunt guarding post-revenge porn was a result of Ralph asking him for legal advice.

Look in general Null has a nonregional accent, but god damn he says “on” like a southerner.

Every time he stretches that son of a bitch into the two syllable, nasally “oow-un” he gives away his panhandle roots. Nothing to be self-conscious about, just something that always sticks out to me.

On an unrelated note, here’s a closing song suggestion for Friday’s stream. Nice song about Memorial Day as a melancholy end of spring and the changing of seasons instead of focusing on armed forces etc.
