How the fucking Hell do these freaks get funding, much less contract work? In my heyday, this company has so many red flags they wouldn't even have a corporate bank account. I wouldn't trust these people with twenty dollars, much less twenty million? There must be blackmail involved.

This is just mind-boggling to me. When my company did its road shows, "observability" and "conviction" were not in our presentations. We had to use boring crap like "customer service", "project completion", and the dreaded "ROI" along with detailed plans about how we were going to use their money. When management bios got handed out, we sure as shit didn't have a "hedonism index". No way would we have received funding if we had a Charity Majors on our team.

I promise your company provides more real value than they do. The flipside of "networking" is that people with substandard services who know the right people are given a seat at the table. Your investors were probably more interested in the stuff you mentioned, where the investors with charity happy to be on the right side of history, both in interpersonal/business dealings and possibly some ESG kickbacks too.

Until their customers have their bottom line impacted by their bedfellows, they have no incentive to change or even look more closely. Especially when there are wikipedia pages that confirm everything is super totally normal and awesome.
