I had the sense that he didn't actually believe what he was saying. Because he's not actually retarded and he's quite perceptive. And he may well have just meant "Nick's a trust fund kid who's going to inherit a shedload at some point. He's never going to starve." So he could say something like that and be absolutely truthful with his audience, but he was refusing to address the issues his audience wanted him to opine on.

So while he wasn't doing the full on noseguarding the way Legal Debtset does, he definitely wasn't going to engage in the kind of pile on that a large section of his audience was hoping for from him.

One defense of Rekieta I heard from him in terms of the "lolcow" issue was something along the lines of "It's not like he's Ethan Ralph", which is about as strong a damnation with faint praise as I could imagine. Ralph has a subforum here and in a couple years rocketed to the status of biggest professional streamer lolcow, surpassing guys like DSP or Wings who have been at it for a decade+.

So, our options here are:
