Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

As long its managed correctly and not misused, Ukraine has low trust elements, tens of Billions might disappear instead of buying weapons from Lockheed & Martin
Yes, the Defense Ministry had elements who happened to have piles of UAHs at home for unclear or unlikely reasons.

The claim is that Wagner has lost 95% of their forces. Now this comes from a Prigozhin interview and is 95% of a convict cohort of c. 50k. Prigozhin does have a way of claiming imminent collapse but it might be a tactic to pressure the RF Defence Ministry to up materiel supplies.

😈"And the russians are dying. It's the best money we've ever spent," Lindsey Olin Graham

🇺🇸🇺🇦United States Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican, visited Ukraine and said words that will definitely go down in history.

🤔Today, we can observe "negative" statements by some individual members of both the Republican and Democratic parties. But we see the support of the American government as a whole and the mainstream majority of both parties give us maximum support. The Republicans are being shadowed by the sick Trumpists, but the Democrats have also condemned Lindsay once for calling for the murder of putler.

🦾Destroying the Russians together!

Situation on the frontlines as of May 27, 2023

▶️ On the Belarusian direction — no changes. (https://deepstatemap.live/en)

▶️ On the Siverskyi and Bilhorod direction — no changes. Preemptive strikes against the positions of the katsap army in the Shebekinsky district continue.

▶️ On the Svatove direction — katsaps had a success up to 1 km south of Masiutivka. Fighting in the forests is difficult, especially since neither side has a significant advantage in artillery. Instead, the enemy has an advantage in drones, while our hucksters are cramming in supply quotas for Chinese drones. Those who defend the hucksters can shove the book on economics in one known place. In the Serebrianka forestry, the enemy is trying to advance near the river to worsen the tactical position of the defenders of Bilohorivka (L).

▶️ On the Bakhmut direction Shoigists from storm-z have also started appearing in this area, 39 prisoners deserted in Lysychansk the other day and are still being searched for. Positional fighting continues on the flanks of Bakhmut.

▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — The fighting near Vodiane continues. Katsaps again attacked Pervomaiske from the south, succeeding in gaining one of the positions, but suffering losses in manpower of around 11,200. In Marinka, enemy attempts to occupy the western part of the ruins of the city continue, with no success.

▶️ On the Zaporizhzhia direction — no changes.

▶️ On the Tavria direction — no changes.

🗂 Analytical note. No significant changes have been recorded over the past day, except for the advance of the Katsaps south of Masiutivka. Today, a video (https://t.me/CinCAFU/505) announcing certain events appeared on the page of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fate of the country is at stake, wait for official news and stop listening to "experts" who know about the plans of the Armed Forces from the gypsies at the train station. We are all witnessing how our intelligence is evolving into something global, so critics of the MDI who are tied to certain political preferences should keep quiet and not spoil the air.

I was reading an article about one of the fallen of Mariupol, Anton Hevak; which is primarily an interview with his mother. In it she talks about his favorite song as a child:
Anton was very artistic, he started singing early. As a child, his favourite song was about tankers - "Na pole tanki grokhotali” (‘In the field the tanks rumbled’). He could sing it all the time, even instead of a lullaby for his younger sister...
So I looked it up, curious to hear what these guys grew up on... and it's some edgy, brutal shit.
Tank engines roared like distant thunder
The soldiers charged and some fell dead
The medics carried young commander
And blood was pouring from his head

The tank was hit with armor piercer
So say goodbye to fellow crew
Just four more corpses in the hillside
Will add to fair morning view

Cause now the vehicle is burning
The shells are gonna detonate
You push the hatch to see this morning
But you're too weak and it's too late

They'll dig our bodies from the wreckage
And put our coffins in the clay
While blasts of fire from the cannons
Will see us on our final way

And then the letters will go flying
To tell our friends and families
That their good son is never coming
And never getting any leave

The mother's wailing in the corner
The father swats a creeping tear
Young girl will never know for certain
What fate befell her tanker dear

And then - just photo on the bookshelf Collecting dust for years on end.
In uniform, with epaulets on
And he will never be her man.

The great mistake of the war will be Russias refusal to negotiate in good faith with Zelensky after being soundly defeated at Kiev. At that point he had stuff he could bargain with. The Primary objective of this war was to restore Crimea's water supply. The Russians did that in the first week. The land bridge through Mariople would have been nice, but was not essential due to the Kerch Straight bridge. All Putin had to do was offer to withdraw from Kharkiv and Zaporizhia, return Kherson city, and demand Ukraine cede south Kherson and all of Luhansk.

And done. Victory, if not everything he wanted. Russia's borders advance, Crimea gets its water back, Ukraine is humiliated and probably strong armed by the west into accepting the deal and that is that. Instead the troops assaulting Kiev acted like Absolute niggers which gave the Ukrainians a major propaganda axe, and Putin chose to double down instead. Hindsight is 20/20, but Putin really should have realized his military was in no way ready for a protracted conflict.

Hell I'm Methodist and if I had a balistic plate that had saved my ass I'd want it to get that treatment and set up a little shrine on my house.

Get a bunch of these together to wallpaper a building, and Polish Bone Chapel gonna have some competition.

Hopefully someone sells them as a creative way to raise funds and have something genuinely of the war and the faith of the people. They probably are already.

Given how Macron was looking vainly for some bad deal so Thales could sell electronic systems for Russian tanks ad infinitum, if Putin had made some sort of reasoned (and cunning for war could restart later), Macron would probably have found Zelenskiy's bunker and got him to endorse it at gun point, altho the probable real boss Zaluzhnyi might've disagreed.

The real mistake was not fixing their logistics issues despite having done a wargames dress rehersal right before the invasion. If Russian armor had actually been moving and engaging, the opening blitzkrieg would have worked. Ukraine had made preparations but no one ,not even the Russians, were ready for the balloon to actually go up when it did.
The next mistake was, yes, not capitalizing on their gains and Eurocuck cuckery to push for """""""""'good faith"""""""""""" negotiations.

Regarding Putin knowing about his military's readiness, Putin has purged anyone who won't tell him what he wants to hear. As we've seen from vatniks posting Russian MOD releases like they resemble reality, Russian military is high on their own vunderwaffen supply.
There is a reason Chef is staying surrounded by his private army as he makes continued domestic PR campaigns.

Absolutely not. Icons cannot be sold by anyone other then the church once consecrated. This is actually a thing the Orthodox killed over in the middle ages, like in the Iconoclast Schism. An un sanctified icon, i.e. something made by the artist, can be sold. But once its accepted into the church and blessed it becomes something "more". In practice this means they become part of the church. The Church can sell them as part of its works funding, but these ones I think go a bit beyond the run of the mill stuff painted by monks and blessed by a priest. I expect once Ukraine gets around to making its own Army Cathedral like the Russians did, these icons will probably feature prominently.

That sounds similar to the Catholic practice regarding devotional images, although I'd argue an Icon is much more than that theologically vs. even a blessed devotional image or sculpture. More similar to a saint's relic, the sale of which is expressly forbidden under the CCC.

I was just a lowly mechanic so I worked with logistics, not in logistics. :tomgirl:

But I also did recovery (M88 ftw), was responsible for the unit's tooling, moonlighted in the arm's room & rode guntrucks. Between that and going on more TDY than was healthy, I got around a bit more than the average motorpool chud.

Thus I was riding along when we sent our battalion vehicles to the port, some by rail & others OTR, and picked them up in Kuwait. It wasn't WW2 but there was a fucking lot going on back then, and I often wondered what it was like during a really big war, because I could tell that what we were doing was only a small fraction of what was possible, in terms of movement of troops & vehicles. But we spun up pretty quick and by 2005-06 moving multiple BCTs was old hat; looks like this time it took less than a year to relearn things, which isn't bad.
Hey, I'd rather ping you than Johnny about these things on account of him being the Farms' drunk, angry uncle. Still, that's more experience with these things than just about anyone else in this thread has or had, so its nice to get your input.

Fuckers thinking my religion is WH40K. Painting icons is what Orthodoxy has done since the beginning.
Tbf, WH40K is probably the first & only contact a lot of those mouthbreathing autists have with religion & the orthodoxy, beyond a few pictures seen & barely remembered in history books. It doesn't really surprise me anymore because people see things through the lens of their exposure & experience, hard to come by living in a basement or student commune; but the WH40K cargo-cult thing was still a little unexpected, considering how old the franchise is. We played the game on our billiard & ping-pong tables, collectively had all the sourcebooks, and talked about nothing else during the peak of it's popularity in the 90s, but there were no literal, unironic Slaanesh followers & priests.

30 years ago that kind of thing expressed even in private would've had the ideas bullied out of them, even from friends, and it was the few times when I'd say bullying had a positive social purpose. I remember the first time I heard a guy unironically & enthusiastically talking about the God Emperor, and first it confused the hell out of me because I thought he was talking in metaphors about Trump, and none of it made any sense.
:story:
... if I had a balistic plate that had saved my ass I'd want it to get that treatment and set up a little shrine on my house.
My first issued IBA caught a small steel fragment near the bottom left edge, probably from a ricochet off my gun's chicken plate; but I never turned it in for DX because it wasn't compromised. And I barely felt when the fragment punched through the carrier & cut through the plate's spall coating; it was like something had snagged on the bottom of my vest, which wasn't uncommon up in the ring mount, and I quickly forgot until after I took the plate out of the carrier many months later to clean (and it promptly sliced my finger open).

When the time came to turn everything in, I wasn't given the option to keep or buy it; I totally should've just "lost" it by leaving it in my Jeep overnight. But at that time I definitely couldn't afford the statement of charges, so I reluctantly turned it in. I did get to keep an OG flak vest though, straight from '86 & off the books. Wish I still had that thing... (:_(

How are you guys doing this late weekend?
I'm leaving you with something fun to read. If you have the willpower, read the whole thing, the beginning is impossible to tell if it's written by some MAGA isolationist, 1488 anime enjoying Russiaboo, or mega tankie.
Gotta have some laughs too.

More fun can be found in Glenn Greenwald's video here:
Glenn didn't take any break from his "husband"'s death; dunking on the US and seething about Ukraine simply cannot wait.
Segment starts around 30:00.
Included is an embrace of thirldworldism, India/Brazil/China/Africa being the new kids on the block, US reeking of colonialism to the stunningly brave anti-Racist leadership of South Africa, truly a country to be emulated, and general Kremlin propaganda, almost word by word taken from Russia's best.
Crazy fucking planet, but please do have a good laugh.

As a semi-unrelated note, I do hope after the smoke has settled Kirill is recognized as the heretic he is; and that those died defending their homeland, and those who Putin sent to their death, are recognized.

Well, except for the occasional flirting with iconoclasm the byzantines had.

Speaking of the Storm Shadow, here is footage of it hitting Russian positions in Mariupol:

I believe what you mean is a bunch of NAFO failure vunderwaffe being BTFO by Russian missile defense so that the wreckage falls on Ukrainian farms and blamed on Utterly Based Russia - a hilarious charge being how extremely careful with its application of force Russia has been as to not provoke NATO warmongers into a WWIII escalation. Russian MOD would tell us if Ukraine had managed to do anything with the 6 gorillion dollars of failure weapons and 20 million Polish Mercenaries (minus however many died by hundreds of thousands in bahkmut)

So does that make Greenwald a widow or a widower?

I couldn't watch more than a few minutes. GG treats the Russia-Ukraine conflict as a purely American war which the U.S. initiated and sustains, spilling blood alone and against the rest of the world. This is particularly wild since the U.S. is not even a party to the war but only offering support, and from the outset condemnation of the invasion was extremely wide. The U.N. votes are all lopsided against Russia, with even China and India voting for the recent "cooperation" resolution which condemns Russian aggression.

Maybe he believes European countries are American vassals who take orders from Washington. But ask anyone in eastern Europe who once lived under Moscow rule whether they want Russian hegemony back, and you'll get few takers.

Perhaps the strangest part was "we're focused on this insane and pointless war over who rules eastern Ukraine" so that the U.S. misses out on other international developments. GG more than anyone should realize the sheer scale of the American military and foreign policy apparatus, which can easily pursue multiple goals at once.
