In terms of the SLAP tear and subacromial impingement, it all depends on how readily accessible MRI and ortho consults are.

In my experience, your basic bitch ER doc or GP/NP, along with ultrasound imaging doesn't have the granular skill level or has technical limitations to even consider the more esoteric conditions.

Partial tear (that's not microscopic) would still require debridement. If it was a 1 person lift from what he seems to imply I think it would be a complete or acute tear.
Recovery time would be at least 3 months, 6+ for sports activities with surgery for SLAP/Rotator cuff. It really depends on the severity of injury and age. Not uncommon to have a restricted range of motion compared to normal people after surgery.

Sounds like he just had tendinitis, that would be restricted range of motion, pain, and generally feeling stiff and like shit. Treatment for severe tendinitis is steroids/NSAIDs, physical therapy, and being a lazy bitch.

To expand a bit on this, and I'm sure I'll miss some milestones and can be corrected, Nick had a few different triggering moments for subscriber boosts.

Spoiler: Spoilered for scrolling convenience

1) Masterson Lawsuit coverage was his very start. He was actually a sperg on the Masterson Facebook group before all of this and apparently had a wealth of cringe interactions that were not archived. Despite this being the launch of his career I wouldn't say he could be compared to Dick Masterson as far as the content he produced. It was very grounded and tame at first, although with hints of what it would become.

2) IBS was the first, albeit relatively small, boost via the Tonkasaw interview. This was how I first found him. The thumbs up was the iconic image from this era. With this he got noticeably more comfortable with being a shit stirrer in my opinion based on viewing his back catalog.

3) Weebwars was the first significant boost that I can think of and he milked that for a huge portion of his career. This provided him a massive boost to his audience and his ego and it's really when he started letting loose with more of his ego/personality, while still being relatively grounded. It frequently wound up biting him in the ass. "We lost the case again"

4) Rittenhouse trial was a massive boost to his career/wallet of course, as well as his perceived credibility outside of the anime crowd.

5) Depp trial was the beginning of the end. He got a monumental boost to viewership and audience, but unfortunately for him the audience that he gained was from a poisoned stock that created the festering wound we've been laughing at for the past 6+ months.

For context: Eric July ran a fundraiser to do an independent super hero comic. It was very successful. For some fucking reason Dick Masterson has a real problem with him. For the record: I haven't read the comic nor do I plan on it. I couldn't give a shit if it's good or bad. Rekieta is trying to obfuscate the conversation and making it seem like Eric July is flipping out on Dick cause of a "review" he did. Which he clipped here.
