Anytime he's mentioned, I feel a very minor pang of disgust. I don't hate him, and that's mostly because of how he branded himself as the "Wholesome Youtube Guy™". This isn't luck or an accident, by the way: he himself states this every time he's interviewed. He's the perfect icon of Current-Year YT:

- Became an E-celeb through SEO by his own admission (and maintained as such thanks to Youtube maintaining his astroturfed popularity),
- Dead-eyed influencer,
- Produces valueless and forgettable content,
- Sells his good deeds on camera for cash and clout,
- "I Support the Current Thing" sellout, even at the cost of his actual friends' sanity and health...

I could go on. The only two things out of his bingo card are the fact that he isn't a fucking self-improover scammer or known for disgusting shit behind the scenes, but methinks it's just a matter of time before people find skeletons in his closet. Then again, the farms permanently ruined my perspective on Youtubers, so he might actually be clean.

I vividly remember watching #76 or something in 2015 or 2016ish, then when I grew out of those I didn't hear of him until all this philanthropy stuff

I can't really reconcile that, so I take all his philanthropy with a grain of salt. Pretty sure it's all for show and profit- he's definitely a hollow husk of a human at best. Very unnerving.

He's like a video game character being played by someone who figured out how to cheese the fuck out of life and get as much money and fame as possible with the bare minimum amount of talent. Like someone trying to beat Fallout 2 at level 1 with just 1 intelligence.

But hasn't he made appearances on mainstream talk shows and stuff? I dunno. He doesn't seem like an organic YouTuber, he feels like someone's plant. I think the first place I ever heard of him was in a news article about him donating a gorillion dollars to someone, which is never a good sign for someone like me that lives online.

Its been over 3 years now and I still don't know where the hell his fortune came from. I think someone told me that he got rich off of Bitcoin? I'm not even comfortable believing that, though. The guy just seemed to appear out of nowhere, and just one day, he was wildly wealthy and influential. And now he has a tranny buddy he defends, because of course he does. If he were based, or even neutral on the whole tranny thing, he'd be working at Burger King.

Something's always rubbed me the wrong way about Mr. Beast. Granted, as someone who was in my young adulthood when the likes of PewDiePie or Game Grumps were the hot shit of YouTube, there's something about Mr. Beast's completely out-of-nowhere brand of videos that stink of algorithmic astroturf. I never even really took any interest in him until that whole controversy where he paid for people's hearing loss surgeries, and only found things weirder with him when Chris became a troon.

It's fucking annoying, and the videos you think are non-political have the zoomers makign them sneak in pot shots. I watching something on the history of Pizza Hut or something, and the British snob who made its started crying about Trump for no reason. Then another video that was making fun of Reddit posts suddenly told me that guns should be banned in the United States for no reason relating to the topic. Strangley enough, none of these channels appear to ever have right wing views.
