Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

"Hey Putin, knock it the fuck off or else!"
"Or else what?"

- "Moscow feint, but its not a feint."
- "Two words: Poland, Green light"
- "Khasham, but its your entire army."
- "I get congress to pass a tabled bill from 1984"
- "The pictures of you & Hunter Biden hit the net"
- "The terrorists win"
- "Did you forget that Russia has both oil and muslims?"
- "I'll have the Ukrainian biowarfare lab technicians infect your country with Ligma."
- STONY SILENCE lol j/k imagine Trump shutting up for 5 minutes
- "Exterminatus"

Trump could just as easily take Putin into a room and tell him that he's not walking out alive unless he pulls back to the pre-2014 borders. He likes big power plays and big jackass moves like that.
See these hands Putin, very nice, very normal sized hands, these hands are going to fuck you, they'll pull your guts outs out and make borscht, very good borscht, many people tell me about my entrails borscht, best borscht they've ever had

I'm a day late with this but a Russian Pantsir-S1 got hit by a loitering munition, either a FPS/RPG-7 contraption or a Switchblade, despite firing both its missiles and autocannons at it. For some reason, both the driver and the operator not only recorded the fuck up but uploaded it to the internet for us all to laugh at the shoddy performance of the Pantsir once again. Here is both videos synced together, enjoy some cyka bylating:

A Storm Shadow missile hit Russian-occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, earlier today:

I'd like to counterpoint this with footage of Ukrainians shooting down a Russian Lancet loitering munition with AKs and a fucking 12ga.

Imagine your $15million, supposedly state of the art, air defense system being less effective than people playing Duck Hunt IRL

Trump again contends that he will end the war within 24 hours:

View attachment 5145963

He's sparse on details as to what demands he will make of each side. But it's good news for those who fear the war will drag on for years: elect Trump, and it'll end in January 2025.
It's like he's trying to emulate Regan during the hostage crisis, without realizing that you can't really intimidate a nuclear power the way some believe Regan intimidated Iran, a new, unsteady regime in the middle of multiple existential conflicts.

That or he's doing his usual grift; because I'm sure the vatniks believe he's just going to cut all aid to Ukraine, which of course will make Ukraine just drop their arms and surrender.
By comparison, no one in leadership in the UK seriously thinks that a return of the Empire is necessary for the national security for the UK. The same for France and Spain. At most they see their language and culture as a soft power sphere of influence that allows for greater economic power. Russia never did this, despite the fact that the had the largest population and natural resources in Eastern Europe. The Muscovite core still thought in a zero sum power game, bringing resources to the center. Versus broader and looser development that would actually net even greater economic capacity.
To be entirely fair, Russia's relationship with its former empire is a bit different from that of other great European powers. France retains good relations with its former subjects and still pulls security for its former colonies in Africa. Spain considers Latin America it's "top foreign policy priority," and still is in good terms with them. The UK is back in good terms with India, is best buds with the US, Canada, and Australia, and still has partnerships with many of its African colonies.

Meanwhile, half of the Eastern Bloc has voluntarily joined NATO almost as soon as they could and fucking hates Russia, Russia had to invade Georgia to stop them from joining NATO, and Russia had to fuck with Ukrainian democracy through their puppet lead and eventually invade to prevent Ukraine from even playing nice with the EU (IIRC the 2014 proposal was a trade agreement, not membership). Meanwhile, of the former Eastern Bloc nations that still associate with Russia, the only one that seems to be of any significance is fucking Kazakhstan.

France's positive relationship, which is still tinged by colonial memories, did not happen overnight. They had to change how they approached West Africa in order to retain influence. Spain lost its Latin American colonies in spectacular fashion, with military force. They rebuilt this influence by accepting the loss and changing tact.

If Russia had developed internally instead of going full Tsardom II: Vodka Bugaloo they could have developed on the shared experience on moving on from the Soviet times to rebuild its connections to Eastern Europe. Due to its economic and population potential, which internal developments would have capitalized on, the natural gravity would have pulled Eastern Europe and Central Asia towards them.

The granular details of who, what, where, when, and why Russia went back to the Empire after the 90s will probably take some hindsight, but no doubt involving many Oligarchs and Soviet Apparatchiks. It might be seen as one of the first great tragedies of the 21st century.

No love lost between the people in the area filming that for the Russian's who just had that dropped on them. They actually seem gleeful. What the fuck Z bros. I was told these people wanted to be in Russia.

The bare minimum has still been a lot. Not just allowing use of territory, airspace, and using their military to train Russia's mobliks, but by forcing Ukraine to keep units defending their northern border is huge; if Belarus went true neutral it'd really free up A lot of Ukraine's forces.

Additionally, if Belarus did openly join Russia, that not only opens Belarus for more economic reprisals (and make it no longer useful as a sanctions bypass) but that would be an escalation that would allow a country like Poland to actively enter the conflict on the Ukrainian side since the war at that point stops being Russia Acting to Protect Ethnic Enclaves that are only there because of population replacement performed under stalin after genociding the natives via engineered famine and NATO supplying the Home team and then becomes a regional conflict.
Belarus, as a non-nuclear country (I mean they have Russia's stuff based there but no launch authority), would also be open to invasion/military action since its hard to touch Russia directly.

But the main point is this: There is no clear successor for Luka. If he's toppled, there will be a power vacuum and power grab, and its possible the CIA gets their man to the top. Putin isn't going to take that risk, he's not going to give even the appearance he has turned on an allied leader, because you do that and now all his other Dictator friends start getting nervous and wondering if they are next and if maybe its time for a westward pivot.

Its more likely he sends Cuban assassins to try to Churro the Maduro than poisoning Lukashenko.
Yes, there is. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya who ran for and likely won as President when he husband Sergei was arrested. She is in Lithuania with decent sized civil society or opposition movement operating from Lithuania. Now whether she'd take and hold power if Luka fell isn't clear, but her claim has some recent heft behind it. Now if Luka perishes from a sup of Putin's Reserve Special Green Tea, someone local Putin trusts might well succeed, but if Luka's cunningly led Soviet larp régime Ms Tsikhhanouskaya has a more than decent chance to be a President of Belarus who restores its presently repressed language, religion (in the sense that Catholic or Orthodox priests not supportive of Luka no longer have to endure FSB inspired lawfare) and culture.

The Belgorod little green men probably won't outlast a concentrated effort against what was the northernmost part of the Ukraine People's Republic, but it'll mean Putin will have to have combat effective border guards and other formations where hitherto the greenest of greenhorns were stationed expecting nothing to happen. That's probably one of the main aims of this effort, a sort of side hustle in support of the upcoming Ukrainian offensive.

Its fun to occasionally drop into the cope thread and read their hot takes. In this case we got @Feline Supremacist claiming the PAC 3 is "le bad" because its propellant assembly was found on the ground.

Once again ignoring of course how the missile system works. There is a propulsion assembly that accelerates the payload. The Missile however is NOT a direct hit detonator. Like most Surface to Air Missiles, the Patriot is a proximity shrapnel weapon. An explosive charge spreads a cloud of shrapnel in the area the missiles guidance systems assumes an incoming threat will be. This detonation, while strong, is also directionally focused towards the target. Which means the propulsion system is usually not blown to smithereens and simply falls back to earth once its job is done.

In the picture the dread feline posted, you can even see this, where the front "cone" is obliterated, indicating where the system successfully deployed its payload, and some pockmarks on the propulsion assembly from incidental damage the missile took from its own chaff.

Its depressing that this was the quality of posting that forced a partition, simply because the people doing it were so fucking retarded they threw shit fits every time basic shit like this was pointed out.

Oh come on, signaling out @Feline Supremacist for a bad take is basically cheating.

Not sure if you know this, but when you tag someone with @ it notifies them. So you're basically inviting Feline to come to this thread. I don't know if this was intentional, but I for one would rather the ziggers not bother us.

As for Feline, one thing I notice about her posts is that she always writes "holhol". Get your slurs right, it's "hohol" transliterated from Russian хохол. I'd be cringing reading this over and over even if I agreed with her, like if someone kept complaining about nigers.

Tagging users you are talking shit about is usually good form, but not when there's a discussion split. That's just poking the bear and inviting gay passive-aggressive posting vendetta behavior. @WhiteNight has it right, no need to tag them and invite them or their zigger brethern/socks to come shit up this thread.

If threadbanned from the other, bad thread and you wish to laugh in the faces of the people who post there, there is a free-for-all thread where you can have slap fights with posters from the other, bad thread to your hearts content without shitting up discussion.

Tag them there.

Those are the posters who tried to argue that the M3 wasn't designed to take on T-72s in Ukraine, so sounds about right.

I also saw they were trying to cope with Russia deploying 70 year old tanks by saying Patriot is over 40 years old while not understanding the concept of upgrades.

Remember the "China Seething" quote?

yeah.

Australia has updated its national defense posture for 2023. Its claiming the geographic location of the country is no longer a deterrent from great power conflict, nor are international norms and law. The Australian Government has ordered an expansion of defense spending beyond 2% GDP and a rapid expansion of Military Infrastructure in the China facing Northern territories.

So how's the war going? is Z-man still begging for US Dollars?
So far Russia:
>failed to force the capitulation of the Ukrainian state
>failed to establish air superiority
>failed to take Kiev
>failed to take Mykolaiv
>failed to take Kharkiv
>got their flagship BTFO'd by a truck
>bogged down before they could reach Zaporizhzhia
>lost most of Kharkiv Oblast in a yuge rapid counter-offensive
>lost Kherson in a slow strangulation
>failed to permanently knock out Ukrainian power infrastructure
>failed to freeze Europe into submission
>winter offensive failed
>failed to take Vuhledar
>took over 9 months to capture Bakhmut (over 7x the time it took the US to capture the entire country of Iraq)
>has had innumerable "red lines" violated by the West (and now Japan & South Korea)
>currently getting hammered by new deliveries of western long-range weaponry
>currently fighting insurgents inside its own borders

On the other hand, Ukraine still has vast swaths of its territory occupied by foreign invaders, civilians getting killed in missile and rocket strikes with no strategic or tactical value, huge tracts of its countryside turned to mud, trenches and minefields.

So neither side is "winning", but both are suffering from vastly different qualitative reasons.

I'd like to counterpoint this with footage of Ukrainians shooting down a Russian Lancet loitering munition with AKs and a fucking 12ga.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, that was pretty badass.

I was watching the latest from these guys in the 3rd Azov, narrating a trench-assault video they were in. And for as much as they've been fighting, they're in pretty good spirits.

You know, in DS9 its mentioned Garak broke a suspect in the interrogation room just by staring at him. It would definitely be a power move by Trump to just stare at Putin and not say anything.

I hope he turns it into a fractal and covers his whole scalp with it.

Missel go up.
Missel explode.
Missel fragments vaporise and dissapear? No, missel fragments have to go somewhere. And gravity points down.
Missel fragments on ground now.

Is this so hard to understand?? But instead, no, somehow that's BAD
