Doesn't changing your PFP temporarily nuke your blue check? I seem to recall he was previously using his hobo hair pic.
Yes, it does until the new pfp or display name is reviewed but that usually doesn't take long. It could explain the checkmark missing, but not all the tweets being deleted. Twitter is too much of a mess to read tea leaves.

I called it! He paid to cuck the content. :story:

that's a good theory. Vickers might be the new Adrienne Blair but OTOH why wouldn't he just delete all his Vicker/Faith tweets? Just seems odd that he would ever nuke all his tweets, he's so proud of his takes on twitter. It's his literary legacy. LMAO.
i've never used twitter so forgive me but i imagine it would be a massive pain in the ass for him to go back and find every single one of his endless belligerent tweets about the vickers. it's especially difficult because he thought he could get away with tweets obviously referencing them but not by name; i don't think a keyword search for "vickers" or "faith" would scrape them all. he would also have to use classic keywords like "bitch," "whore," etc.

Maybe he lost his "Twitter Blue" account and now on the brink of suspension.
If I had to guess why he lost his Blue, he probably stopped paying it. Who knows though, this might be because he got tipped off he was going to be permabanned. I knew if I had a sneaking suspicion I was going to be banned from a website that's got my credit card info, I'd make a point to unsub to any paid features and remove my credit card info so they wouldn't pull bullshit like continuing to bill me after losing access to my account. Not sure if Ralph's got that level of forethough though. This is starting to seem more like he's trying to avoid any issues with Vickers using his tweets in court. No idea why he lost his check though.

Smart move Ralph, deleting all your tweets. Now the Vickers will never be able to prove that you've been shit talking them almost daily for years. Sure is a good thing there isn't a website out there that has archived all your most egregious, seething posts. That would completely negate the work you just put in. Truly a genius play, a 4000 IQ chess move that only the Ralphamale could think up.

From a Ralph perspective, this is both a good and bad idea. I bet he's going to do this going forward once a week. It's good cause it gets rid of an defamatory statements from coming back and biting him so hard in the ass. It's bad cause it's fucking pointless to have a twitter account now. People will see that this guy has no content and go else where, especially potential fans (lol). He can't use it to book guests anymore cause his special blue check is gone. Only real purpose is to defame people.

His Twitter is basically his legacy/body of written work since he will never get around to writing his novel. Now that his Twitter history is deleted, is Gamergate effectively erased?

Damn, I wasn't sure if Vickers had done anything, but if he's shamefully deleting all his tweets after saying he wouldn't, the boy is definitely buckbroken. That's a decade of tweeting gone, like tears in the rain.

And nothing of value was lost.
