And don't forget that it was cancelled after the second season had already aired on CBS' Saturday Morning block due to some standards and practices regulated onto children's television during the early-to-mid 90s, and was only brought back for a third season five years later on ABC's One Saturday Morning block before it got cancelled for good.
You got that reversed. The first two seasons of Tales from the Cryptkeeper aired on ABC before Disney bought it, while the final season aired on CBS, whose Saturday morning lineup had been taken over by Nelvana, who make the show. Then Viacom bought CBS and put Nickelodeon shows on, which obviously meant the entire Nelvana lineup was shitcanned.

The ironic exception to this was Franklin, which debuted on CBS and jumped to Nick Jr. where it ran for many more years, and at one point even aired on the CBS block. Even more ironic, many of Nelvana's Nick Jr. shows would run on CBS until they dropped the block for DiC shows.

I was completely tired when I typed this, so please forgive me.

I don't understand, what are they apologizing for?
There was Bubbline "fanart" (i.e. storyboards) showcased in that behind-the-scenes recap that fans went nuts for and got mad that it didn't make it into the final draft of the episode. Hence there was a fan crusade for years demanding Bubbline be made official canon because "Reeeee the creators are for lesbians, but evil Cartoon Network made them remove it!"

That's why they had that last-minute hookup in the final episode.

How about: "If goosebumps was to get an animated series, back in the day Fox would have a done a better job by them than any other studio."

Which yeah. I'm not much of a goosebumps fan (though I sometimes liked their "kiddie-twilight zone" like show) but if you were to ask me, I'd say the 90s era Fox animation would have worked for them compared to a lot of others.
An animated Goosebumps would have been considered a cult classic if it had been given the opportunity. If it had the same style as TFTC season 1 and remained consistent quality wise, it would have dominated kids entertainment given the popularity of the books at the time.

Aka. Fat bearded coomers who jerk it to the show until they Troon out and become "legit so totes ladies guys." Sorry if I sound mati it's just....mhhh newsflash this just in. Gwen stacey as spider-girl woman whatever. Uses baby blue pink and white as a her color scheme and has a protect trans kids flag in her room therfore she clearly was born oh I'm sorry assigned male at birth and is now a beautiful transgirl with a stink ditch." -the woke mobs on Twitter.

You know I didn't care much for spider gwen, less so when she became popular with a certain group of people, including our own lolcows Chris and Kevin gibes but even I think she deserves better than that.

Tell me about it. I was intrigued by the idea of a world where Gwen was given powers instead of Peter - especially if the death was reversed and Green Goblin executed Peter to get to her. I thought there was something really compelling you could do as a story there but...

Well like you said, her popularity with certain fandoms has ruined anything interesting with her.

Well, the original run is like 7 years old but if you want spoilers Gwen and Peter date in that universe while in junior high but he becomes so infatuated with Spiderghost (or Spiderwoman, the same thing) and creates a serum that transforms him into the Lizard. Gwen ends up killing him unaware that he is Peter, dying in her arms and making people believe she is a menace. She has practically no allies, gets beaten by her universe’s versions of Daredevil and Punisher, some Ultimate Peter vibes.

That’s just Volume 1. Somehow less autistic than Gwenpool.

On an unrelated note I know we complain so much about LGBTQ rep and woke shit being shoved into cartoons now, but are there any good examples of LGBT characters in cartoons? it seems almost all of them are forced in some way.

I guess gatekeeping does exists for a reason. At least rational people are taking the piss out of those who claim the colors of Gwen's costume are a clear sign she's a troon.

Oh I have Gwenpool because it was written by the guy who did Dr. McNinja, and I loved that webcomic.

But yes I was aware of that (thanks though - appreciate the thought). It was part of my immense disappointment. Especially since in the first spider-verse her and Peter had a chance for some catharsis and closure and it was... just sad.

I'm calling it right now, that video game Spider-Man Edge of Time will have been a better adaptation of Miguel O'Hara than this shitty movie will be. 2099 was one of the few non-Peter Parker Spider-Man versions I actually liked.

I mean, it's Sony we're talking about. Like with big name corporations, they will shoehorn in whatever people like with more political identity shit.

i'm just sitting here trying to avoid spoilers because i'm still going to see it
confident it won't be as good as the first movie because that was lightning in a bottle, but I'm still curious

One movie that I am surprised has not been mentioned in this thread, yet, is The Point, which came out in 1971. American musician Harry Nilsson did the music as well as the plot. Nilsson came up with the idea of the movie with the release of his album of the same name when he was high on LSD when he was camping by himself in a forest. As you can guess, the movie is meant for children, but it is also obvious that it was a big acid trip from start to finish.

The animation was done by Fred Wolf, the same guy who did the animation for those old Tootsie Pop commercials with the boy and Mr. Owl, and in one version of The Point, the narration was done by Ringo Starr of the Beatles.

To make a long story short, the movie is about a boy called Oblio, who was born with a round head in a town where everything had a point, including people's heads. It was also the law of the land. He angers the Count of the town one day who has Oblio banished from the town for his lack of a point, and so Oblio goes off to find one.

The movie is like a cross between the Yellow Submarine and Alice in Wonderland.
