It sucks that /an/ consistently has some of my favorite threads of the cutest and funniest shit and also consistently some of the most degenerate threads on the site.

Cats in particular draw a lot of negative attention. The sorts of posts talking about how they're vermin that should be exterminated is incredibly similar to MP posters describing monkeys. Small pets don't generally receive negative attention but you'll occasionally see pics of them dead. There was an anon that posted a picture of a hamster he suffocated in a plastic bag relatively recently.

The entire board isn't terrible but it's pretty clearly inhabited by some truly awful people. Definitely worse than other boards where, at worst, you can really only say that they are retarded.

There's a whole sperg war constantly ongoing between dog and cat people on /an/.

This has been said a dozen times but 4chan has never allowed VPNs because it makes ban evasion extremely easy.

So implement a PoW. There's no excuse for demanding identification. So much for being an "anonymous" image board.

Not the kind of word filter I'm referring to. I'm referring to their known censorship of GamerGate back in 2014, then later Isabella Loretta Janke. And I outright said the wrong thing with shadowbans. They hand out regular bans, just at an alarming frequency and often for reasons mentioned above, if not something dumber than that. And before you try the "4chan always hands out arbitrary bans!" defense, no. There is a substantive difference between handing out jokey temp bans for shitposting and handing out permabans for mentioning a forbidden name.

I keep hearing people say that the mods were censoring posts about ILJ but I don’t think that was ever true. People got banned for posting her address during the incest reveal but they never put a word filter on her name. You can search the archives yourself to see that people have talked about her for awhile without getting banned.

When people talk about the worst boards on 4chan (/pol/, /v/ , /tv/ , /a/, /co/,/vt/) its mostly talking about rich people (that have no clue or care what 4channers think about them) or about corporations. Those boards are just people arguing which elite is better and will consume what ever they say or do.
With the expectation of all the porn boards which are self explanatory.

Suing all these people/entities strikes me as a knee jerk reaction. It'll be interesting to see how it develops, though. Thing is, that guy that did that was clearly involved with Feds - if you take a look at that manifesto, it glowed so hard it was radioactive.
