There is so little else to directly sanction at this point. The movement that Brussels goes after neutral countries for DARING to trade with Russia is the moment the entire sanctions regime globally falls apart. If the EU pisses off Turkey, India, S. African, Egypt, the -stans, China, and a good % of latina America they're going to see an absolutely massive backlash.

Without air defense I don't see even NATO troops helping. Russia has such control over the battlefield that the can just send kamikazi drones against anything that pops up, with the occasional closer scruitiny sweep in case the hohols try something clever.

The only thing I can think of is if NATO brings in and unleashes a fleet of kamikazi drones, but I'm betting the designs are six months away and the bidding wars for contractors are another six months after that.

I would imagine that once the EU puts together legislation for 2nd degree sanctions, much less actually vote on the legislation, things will start moving quickly as not country is going to sit on their ass twiddling their thumbs as they see that coming a mile away. I wouldn't be surprised if some countries are assessing counter sanctions, with some of the more petty ones planning to trigger sanctions as soon as the EU votes on one affecting their country.

Is "NATO boot on the ground" going to be the next game changer for the NAFO crowd? What do people think that would achieve even if a NATO nation decided to try to send in troops? Russia has already show they can precision strike any point in Ukraine with impunity so good luck trying to amass troops in any kind of significant quantity. The only thing they could possibly achieve is another Bakhmut somewhere in Western Ukraine by hiding behind civilians and pissing and shitting themselves in fear while waiting to be destroyed by Vasya the ex-con with a shovel.

Yup. Pretty much any chance for a NATO "blitzkreig" is over. The Russians are prepared. They got caught off guard last year, and that seems to really be the only time anything was going to get done. Now NATO troops would have to slug it out the old fashioned way, and I really don't think they have the guts nor supplies for it anymore. Not to mention that's going to be hugely unpopular at home. One of the main "selling" points of this fiasco was that oh, we only have to give them money and old shit and the Ukrainians do all the work.

If I have a fraction of Soros' wealth, I'd use it to build a massive room with war diorama and army models of Ukraine war then put both LazerNigger and GonzaLOL Lira in there and lock them in for a war game. I do it not because it would be good use of the money, but because watching two wholly unqualified retards going at each other's throat over who should - or should I say MUST - win the war with war game autism is funny in my head and I want it IRL.
