People cut spez too much slack. He is a nasty, weaselly, evasive little faggot. I hope disabled people sue reddit for trashing the apps they CLAIM will still be free (even though I bet this is a lie because MANY of the main third party apps have accessibility features). That more or less shut down an electronic library in California because there was no way to make it accessible to blind faggot fucks. Seriously fuck blind people but I hope they sue.
Also a lot of these kneejerk spez defenders being edgy because they think reddit's USERS alone are the problem are dumb--reddit didn't achieve its success without these apps. Nobody used the official app who could help it. It wasn't about ads, it was about UI and functionality. These apps got reddit to where it is today. Just as the Reddit Enhancement Suite addon did. Reddit really is such garbage under the hood, the mod tools were actriocious.

Spez is and always has been a faggot. He's a complete loser and if they invent time travel I'm going to give his mother a baseball bat abortion, then fucking stomp on the fetus flat and burn its bones and bury it in an iron casket surrounded by salt.

Does anyone have any idea at all what the possible successor of reddit would be? Right now many of you may not notice this but it seems the cyber ad bubble might be popping. Youtube is really getting antsy about ad blockers, reddit is IPOing, who knows what is going on at Twitter, Tiktok is increasingly falling into ill repute, what is coming next? We need to know, so we can not let these people seize the narrative anymore and not let those fags get to power first.

Which would be funny but also deeply stupid.
One of the few ways to piss off content farm websites is to remove the free content you provided. I know of one site that absolutely loses their shit when a user scrapes their content out of the site, the site owner rage quit over it. (Metafilter)
He even admitted that Reddit "Isn't even close to profitable"
He thought that was a witty comeback.

I wonder if 20 day protests would "work." If they let it slip to 30 days, the sub is recycled for anyone to claim, unless said sub is banned.
You'd also have to be a popular sub.

hey prospective shareholders please ignore what i said about reddit not being close to profitable

Some Christian company bought some milquetoast advertisements on reddit where they explicitly express the notions of anti-racism and inclusivity.
Of course, the Jews are screeching:

I despise these lefty evangelical organizations for their subversiveness but absolutely love how butthurt redditors are over their ads being put everywhere. I really hope these popped up in r/atheism just for how funny that would be.

Amazing redditors really think Reddit Inc and the jannies gives a shit about them

What is that sub even about? I found my way into it a few time looking for vidya posts and it seemed like the most random mundane shit, and now it's a troon haven (or always was)?

iirc it was a shitposting sub that got infiltrated by troons, probably by the typical reddit method of banning all mods and replaceing them with your own tranny mods.

Thanks, I must've stumbled onto it before the troons took over, although I vaguely remember the occasional troon shit getting mass updooted because Redditors are programmed to support troons at every chance they get. It's honestly kind of creepy how these troon/lefty/whatever types come and infiltrate subreddits using the same method and everyone just let's it happen. Look at the fucking r/Bionicle sub for example.

EDIT: Man even all the Paradox subreddits for mods and shit have been privated. This shit is fucking retarded as hell.

Just to add to your list, Twitch is also in the middle of a shitstorm, with a load of streamers threatening to leave. We're in a climate where the biggest tech companies are dropping people like flies and it's not as easy to get people to dump into your money pit anymore.

Also, in the case of 'content creation', I feel it's the result of noone predicting how big it would be and how it would work. A lot of these companies (especially Twitch) just weren't set up to run as a profitable business. Streamers/youtubers were never really treated as assets that the company NEEDS to exploit, and they were typically given whatever the fuck they want. Now, when you make them run an ad or share profits like a grownup business partner would, they cry and scream. The funniest thing about it is that content creators are probably on average the most untalented and replaceable people alive. As well as them being universally horrible people for gleefully taking giant donations from the mentally ill.

This blackout will be a good opportunity for people to shitpost with a lot of jannies putting down their brooms.

Im going to use the opportunity to suicide by Jannie all my throwaway and main accounts by shitposting on some subs.

As much as I hate the jannies who are protesting, I also hate the CEO and the direction he is taking it, and how fucking incompetant he and his employees are. How the fuck can you so badly screw up an official app, and make the main site such a bloated mess which downloads multiple megabytes of JavaScript doing who the hell knows what.

r/blackjack is discussing going private and about 70% of the community seems on board. 36.4k users. None of the 40k subreddits I follow seem to care which is surprising.

Modern web dev. Every modern "Web 2.0" abortion is like this.

I do wonder why he didn't just buy out Apollo though.
