NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

I'm surprised this guy wasn't banned.

Literacy has long been a white colonialist dog whistle. During the era of colonization literacy rates of the local popular would be quantified, and this would influence how "civilized" they were believed to be. Some populations didn't even have written language at all. The white man would force their colonial written language onto the natives. Meanwhile there is no basis to the idea that illiterate people are less civilized then literate people and belief otherwise is simply internalized racism that most be removed through anti-colonial action. Stop teaching people how to read. The BBC understands this which is why they distribute in pidgin: https://www.bbc.com/pidgin

Well, there's that faggot who complained to HR and started a pogrom over people talking about having Harry Potter themed birthdays for their kids until they had to ban it from the workplace.

And also this faggot:

So I'd say ~99.6% of those employed.

This guy is constantly posting about buying every single gamer toy/tech imaginable and how he's a scientist and just said that he makes minimum wage.
I've run into many, many self-proclaimed scientists, doctors, politicians, etc. online throughout the years who somehow manage to have enough free time to not only work demanding careers with long hours, but also post on internet forums ten hours a day... I'm assuming that they're not just living in their parent's basements and lying about their professions because why would someone do that?

This guy is a grad student at the University of Washington. He makes minimum wage because he's a grad research assistant and that's what they make, he also "owns" a faux-business that operates out of his and his husband's apartment:

He hasn't actually worked since 2019:

I always enjoy people explaining how many cups of coffee (or gallons of milk) something equates to. As if the concept of money is so alien and new that people just don't get it without a retarded analogy.
I like how he phrased it completely weirdly on top of that: "literally the cost of a gallon of milk per month"

Is that the same guy?
It seems such a far cry from the Retardera poster who whines about his crippling weed vape addictions, his grindr dates being assertive and tearing out his sphincter to the point of incontinence, and being unable to properly care for his pet rodents and lizards.

lol i forgot you arent allowed to mention AI in any art thread ever because Nepenthe defined art as "being made by humans" and any discussion whatsoever is not allowed
They lumped AI in with harry potter in the forbidden topics category. It's extremely easy for one to derail and nuke threads that mention AI in an oblique manner by just a little lawyering and reporting.

Very true, most are lying or exaggerating ex. A basic lab tech calls themselves a scientist.

A lot of it is akin to janitors calling themselves sanitation engineers or technicians. Most real scientists aren’t going to push back on a lab tech calling themselves a scientist but nobody will actually treat them like a scientist. In the corporate world, most non-managers build up their titles and importance.
