Reminds me of someone I vaguely knew on DA back in the day who loved trolling dumb kids. She was a popular user with good art, a recognizable style, but this one time she made a fake account that looked like your average 12 year old weeaboo's DA page. She'd post terrible anime art, run of the mill stuff, but then she'd make something good (in her very recognizable style) and title/caption it something super lazy like "look what i drew! :3" and EVERYONE WOULD GET MAD in the comments like "HEY YOU DIDN'T DRAW THIS YOU STOLE THIS FROM [her actual account,]" to which she'd be like "No!! I drew this!! Go look, it's not even IN [my] gallery!!" and she was actually telling the truth, she did draw it and it wasn't something from her actual account's gallery.

People were like "she's gotta be taking it from [her actual account]'s other websites or something, maybe she downloaded it and [actual account] deleted it and now she's reposting it." Then she'd do shit like poorly crop out her own signature just to watch people get even MORE upset. Staff couldn't even do anything because it was actually her own art so no rules were even being broken.

Shit was hilarious. I wish I could remember who it was, but I'm sure those pages are so far back now it'd be impossible to find these days anyway. DeviantArt was so wild, man.

DeviantArt is a corpse now, especially since the rise of Tumblr and Twitter made it look old and lumbering compared to those two sites. Tumblr swiftly put DA out of business in 2011, and when the porn ban happened on tumblr in 2018, every porn artist moved to Twitter, where they still remain. You can still troll the ones on Twitter, but they'll lose their shit over you reblogging their own stuff, so, eh.

Maybe I'm just unlucky, but this seems to be the mass of the hobbyist art community now. Where did all the male artists go? Like damn even a decade ago they weren't hard to find. Did they all jump to anime porn and goofy goober style cartooning so you don't see them much anymore? The largest pro-ship accounts, such as LizCourseRants (who made a 500 page detailed Bible of transgressions in the community, IIRC), Antis-delete-your-blogs, and others back in 2019 had made explicit tweets defending Prostasia. Their tweets can be found in the general Prostasia thread. You will usually find them if you search their tweets going back to 2019-2020, back when these conversations flared up and the organization was generally not well known.

Another incident where this discourse popped up was in the Spiteful Aggy debacle, a troon who drew very graphic CP and passed it off as 'trauma art'. I know several YT channels and big time Twitter accounts that defended him, and Protasia was the organization mentioned in defense of him. At the time, CreepShowArt had made a video on him, and she had gotten pushback for that (this was before her total meltdown and when she lost her entire fanbase).

Anyways, seeing Luna being hoisted by her own petard and driven out by the community she courted will never not be funny.
