Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Before and after the oinkening:

Despite the Czech Republic (or the EU) never having declared war on Russia and thus not having the legal or moral right to subject Russian citizens on their soil to punitive surveillance or reprisals, Czech President Petr Pavel said that Russian civilians living in the West should be monitored by security services, just like the Japanese-Americans were during WW2.

"When World War II started, all Japanese population living in the United States was under a strict monitoring regime as well".

"If we look back at the time when World War II started - the entire Japanese population living in the United States was under a strict surveillance regime back then as well. This is simply the price of war".

The strict monitoring regime for Japanese-American, residents and nationals meant forced dispossession of goods and property, ie having your property confiscated or having to sell at a loss;

Forced relocation;

and then forced interment, aka a concentration camp.

This was absolutely devastating for Japanese-Americans; their communities in California disappeared literally overnight and few returned. It took decades of real work and effort to get the Civil Liberties Act of 1988 passed and for surviving Japanese Americans to get token reparations and a formal apology by President Reagan for their incarceration.

I don't know who this uneducated retard is making such a ridiculous statement but he needs to STFU and get tard wrangled out of office. Yes I'm MATI, I'm from California so I know exactly how this plays out.

Also Russian liberashkas, this is what the West thinks of you. Get rekt.

They had to relocate the japs because a couple of them were caught helping kamikaze pilots in hawaii.

Supporting people you share history, language, and family connections with over the people you live near for purely economic reasons is what normal people do, and why allowing mass immigration is dumb.

German-Americans weren't treated much better in WW1, in no small part because as long as the USA was neutral, they were sending care packages and things to their relatives in the old country. Mass immigration doesn't work. It creates a population with divided loyalties. How do you think another US war with Mexico would go down with Mexican-Americans?

There were, and still are, legal methods of removal and deportation for foreign nationals during wartime in the US and they are quick; the problem is there were second and third generation Japanese-Americans that were forcibly removed and interned too. Second and third gen German-Americans weren't sent to internment camps.

America admitted it was a mistake and a serious violation, and it was.

RIA News in Russia is reporting that our good friend Budanov who "psychologically" already took Crimea was in fact wounded in a missile attack on the GUR headquarters on 29 May. He was flown by helicopter to Poland where a US aircraft evacuated him to Germany (think people at the time picked up on these flight-radar maps and were speculating who could have been on board - according to RIA it was Budanov).

He is currently in a Berlin hospital in critical condition. Its one of those "our anonymous sources say" stories so take with a grain of salt. Also can't access their site for some reason so all I have is this screencap from their TG channel.

Czechia is also criminally prosecuting people for approving of the war. There are 58 people being prosecuted, with another 90 cases open. One person landed in prison. article

"The dehumanization is already here"? I thought that happened well over a year ago when people started unironically calling Russians 'orcs'. Somehow they managed to take the gullibility of the German 'hun' propaganda from World War I and add a layer of soy consoomer on top of it.

It's just like my heckin' Tolkien lore, guys!
Its interesting to think about, because the Japanese were dehumanized to hell and back during WW2. Thing is, their army earned that 100% with all the stuff they did to civilians and POWS so... I guess the moral of the story is dont dehumanize the enemy unless they shoe fits. Otherwise good luck getting your troops to trust command when the enemy starts showing more humanity then their leadership.

It was a horrible mistake. Becouse one asshole helped one pilot, that means countless innocents somehow needed to be put in camps. There wasn't a single example of any other Japanese Americans plotting against the nation. It was to the point that the Japanese units sent in to fight the Germans in WW2 became one of the most highly decorated in the military for the sacrifices they made.

I remember hearing some basic actions were taken against germen and Italian Americans as well, but nothing as bad as what was done to the Japanese. The only consolation they had was the fact they were fed well and not intentionally killed.

They would have been if the japs were bombing every city and road in the country, leaving most of the population to starve.

Russia Today having some fun with Western leaders. I will say that the Russian's troll game has always been on point.

I don't know what I'm supposed to think about RT or RT America. I got into them in the early 2010's because I really liked Abby Martin and they had some incredibly based takes on Ron Paul. I haven't watched them much in the last 7 or 8 years, but have they gone full cyka blyat like everyone is implying?

Nah, pretty much the same as they ever were so far as I can tell. That is to say mostly fairly low-information but covering topics you might not hear in Western MSM, weird side-obsession with MMA, comments section filled with low-IQ people who will believe anything if it's anti-Western. Though the site itself I don't recall being dishonest, just attracts those types. I don't look at it often. If I didn't have KF to make me aware of things the MSM wasn't talking about I might. It's a slightly above MSN level news site with occasional long and interesting actual journalism carefully hidden amongst it. Worth a visit now and then. Would hate it to be my main news source.

EDIT: But anything the EU bans is something that everybody should read at least once.

I'm mildly concerned that this site is pretty much my only source for actual news. The other is Funnyjunk but new news only shows up if they can meme it.
