My only hope for the demo is that people dive into the files and find really funny shit, hell we can even make a bingo card for it.

feel like we should embrace communism, when this game comes out it should get the Tetris treatment. Government takes it and the people who made it got no fucking profit off it.

Whoa there cowboy, that's big boy words! At most it would be something like "homo" or not shown on screen and then the character will explain in disgusts "he called me the f word!" while literally shaking! Maybe they can attempt to reenact the fantastic social commentary of TLoU2 and bigot sandwiches.

In the stream VOD that was posted the other day, one of the chatters warns that - while they're not sure it happens in that demo - at some point, Fang gets misgendered by someone. If they need to give out warnings to everyone for something as simple as misgendering someone that obviously presents as female (and I have reason to believe it's not someone who would be familiar with Fang's identity to begin with, making it even more benign), then I doubt they're going to have something as 'extreme' as a character being called a slur.

They left the whole game in the files. All of the dialogue strings from Episodes 1-8, which as far as I'm aware is the entire game up until around March when they split the demo branch from the main branch, are in the files for the second demo. They're still being poured through, but here's a couple choice snippets.
Fang (or potentially Sage) lamenting that she isn't being taken seriously by her parents, that they think she's only playing dress-up when that's literally what she's doing.

God, I forgot this game is a thing. I should've stayed in blissful ignorance, knowing that Sony and Squeenix are openly willing to fund, endorse and even shove hipster fag trash into your face.

Ah yes, the "it's not a phase mom, it's who I am?!?!?!" plotpoint which would have been treated as a joke a decade ago but since we are in crazy town now it's deep and depressing and shit. I only get reminded of Snoot Game on how by end 4 she's acting embarrased about the whole Fang thing.
And if it's Sage, I hope he necks himself with that giant fucking tail of his.

Playing this demo immediately after the demo for "I Wani Hug That Gator" and the contrast could not be more striking. The animation, for what little there was in IWHTG, was noticeably smoother and better utilized than in GVH. Even when it was just flat sprites moving around a screen it felt much better than GVH. The demo for IWHTG was also considerably longer, and gives you a better understanding of the tone of the writing and the personality of all the characters. There was even a joke in IWHTG involving synthetic meat and carnivores that actually made me laugh out loud.
GVH can't compare, even with whatever Sony money they've got. Also, the lack of an Options screen to change the display from Fullscreen to windowed or borderless window, or change volume levels is mystifying. The button mapping is for Playstation controller only, as previously mentioned. Weirdest of all, the demo just abruptly ends after the school assembly scene. You don't even get a "Thanks For Playing" screen you usually get in demos; it just boots you back to the title screen. This game allegedly comes out this year, but it sure doesn't feel like its ready yet.
