That was played up at the time as a joke, with Cloud being a lil' manlet all presumably gettin' his butthole hollowed out. Not really on the same level as fanservice for people who declare anime dudes to be their "bishies".

Square is doing their best to forget Xenogears ever happened, and now Monolith is beating them at making JRPGs. The underage stuff was Billy's story and it was more of the church being run by global homo elites, not necessarily pushing degeneracy to the players.

Xenogears was too based for them. A lot of the plot points are clearly inspired by 1984, the entire soylent plot is self explanatory, the whole Solaris story was inspired by Childhood's End with the abductions and even the name of Karellen (changed to Krelian in english like a lot of other weird name changes that had plot relevant names, Elly's full name comes to mind). It's just such a good story because it was inspired by classical literature.

Billy considered selling his body to support himself, his sister, and their other orphan friends he took in because their mother was dead and their father was a deadbeat who had basically disappeared by that point. He didn't actually go through with it though.

I meant when the priest guy talks about how Solaris was using the church to exert control over the surface, and that the priest and his lackeys heavily implied they were raping the children/boys that came to the church. You kill him later though of course. It's the scene where Billy's entire faith breaks, I think it might be before he talks about selling his body but its been a while since I played Xenogears.
